Please, for the love of God, people stop referring to SC as USC.

The ONLY people who refer to SC as USC are the fans on this board. In the real world ive never heard of them referred to as anything other than SC. Yet on this board I always see USC. Which is just *** backwards to me because everyone outside these boards says SC.
Ok say what you will. But outside these boards I've NEVER. EVER EVER EVER. Heard South Carolina being referred to as USC. EVER. Which is why it's so weird to me that I see USC on these boards but if you talk to the casual fan in Lexington you hear nothing but SC in reference to South Carolina. Have never heard them called USC by the casual fan in Lexington. Only on these boards have I seen that reference.
I'm a CAT fan but I live in South Carolina.....They are very commonly refered to as USC!
But on a lighter note....who gives a FLYIN' FLIP dude? One of our 2016 recruits Tweeted out "I will be playing football at Kentucky University"! Who cares?
Never in all my years of living in the great state of Ky have I heard a fan refer to SC as USC. Can you really disagree with that willie? Have or have you not ever heard a UK fan refer to SC as USC in Lexington or KY in general? Even one time have you? I could care less as to what they refer to themselves as. But I've never once heard in Lexington, a casual fan of any team, refer to SC as USC. Not on single time. Outside of these boards have you ever heard a casual fan in Lexington refer to SC as USC? If you say you have then I just don't believe you man. It just doesn't happen. They're universally known as SC in KY. Always have been, always will be. If an SC fan comes here. They'll have UK fans ask them if they are SC fans, not USC fans. That's just what they're referred to as in KY. I have never one time outside of these boards heard someone call them USC, not one freaking time. And if you say you have then that's a damn lie and you know it. I could give a flying eff what they and the writers refer to them as.
They do what they want I don't care what they do. But in the great state of Ky, outside of these boards, have I ever ONCE heard of them being called USC. In fact when I first came to these boards and would see someone talk about USC. I was confused because I always assume they were talking about SoCal, eventually I figured out what they meant, and never understood it because in all my glorious years in this great, have I once heard of SC being referred to as USC. I just have never heard it. I don't care what they call themselves, I don't. They can do what they want. But outside of Columbia they're probably reffered to as SC almost nationwide minus a couple places. As far as I know though as to what I can speak for. I've never once heard a casual fan in KY refer to them as anything else than SC. Not one freaking time. It just doesn't happen. On this board I see it, but that's it I never hear it said by casual fans in Lexington ever. I've always saw USC and thought SoCal on these boards til one day I noticed they were talking about SC. And it forreal blew my damn mind. They might call themselves that. But I've never heard them called that before. Never. Not til these boards at least.

South Carolina is not a founding member of this conference and has an Alabama mindset and a vandy trophy case. Outside of superior trying to make them relevant they've got nothing. In basketball they're irrelevant. College baseball is largely irrelevant, and I played it. Love the game, but it is.

You mistake me for a USC fan....I am a UK fan thru & thru, but UK has never achieved a 12 win season, produced a heisman trophy winner and I could go on and on.....for you to say they are more relevant in the SEC than USC is retarded! They have been the bottom feeders of the SEC since I can remember (50 yrs old) and have struggled to stay on par with Vandy that entire time!! Your argument does not hold water dude! LOL, not relevant in baseball? Not relevant in women's hoops. Not relevant in football at 11-2,11-2,11-2 and a no 6, 7 and no 4 final ranking in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Back to back national titles in baseball, SEC titles multiple times, final 4 and undefeated and regular season SEC titles in women's hoops. Not relevant has pounded Kensucky 13 or the past 16 football games. We used to celebrate at USC when we won 6 football games and went to the liberty bowl so we get it Kensucky.

South Carolina put some nice seasons together under SOS, that's a fact. But Baseball isn't relevant to 90% of schools who have teams. It is to teams like South Carolina, Vandy and a couple other teams in the conference and some spread out across the country. But the vast majority of college sports fans can't tell you who won the NC this past season. Its right there with Tennis and golf.

College Baseball is as irrelevant of a college sport as I've ever seen. Go to a UK baseball and you'll be able to count all the fans on one hand, and all those fans are parents, actually have a friend who played baseball at UK and said the treatment between baseball and FB and BB players from the university is night and day. NO ONE CARES ABOUT COLLEGE BASEBALL. I can't believe this was even said on these boards.

Sorry you get so upset over this. South Carolina was USC over 100 years before Southern Cal was founded. We have every right to refer to ourselves as USC.
