I assure you that the team that Mullen put on the field yesterday could lose to the bears. Some of you are going to be in for a rude awakening unless we have a drastic turn around in all aspects of the game this week.

We had better come out like we have been shot out of a cannon with our *** on fire and stomp a hole in the Bears early so they can get ready for Christmas break...

I tend to agree. And you can count on Mullen super-coaching and 17ing up at least two drives inside their territory.

I don't know how some of our fans can watch us get skull17ed by the Hogs and then claim we're going to steamroll the JohnnyRebs the following weekend. They must not be watching the same team that I'm watching. I'm old enough to have personally seen some crazy, bad **** happen in the Egg Bowl including theDick Pace game in '81 and the blown back FG in '83. We just are not a very confident team right now. Musical chairs atQB, a non-existent pass rush, and a prevent style zone pass coverage. I swear, at times yesterday, it looked like Arkansas was running their offense against air. Will we bring a decent effort into this game or quit mentally as soon as something bad happens? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

....and rightfully so. If you have seen Ole Miss play the last few weeks they have completely given up.

With that said, I sure as hell don't see Mullen letting the team get that confident this week. He will have the ready to go Saturday night

and Da Bears are the worst football team that I have ever seen. Relax, they are not beating us.

If there is one thing Mullen HAS proven...it's that he knows how to get his team ready to play the bears. I'm sorry, but there is no way that pathetic excuse of a football team will walk onto our field this year and beat us. It just isn't going to happen. The bears totally gave up weeks ago, including papa bear. I don't thinkNutt gives a ****. All he wants is to get back to Oxford on Saturday night, take his last box home, and start collecting that fat severance.

I say we win by 10+

So far, this season has been a small disppointment. Nothing we can do about losing to the top 3 teams in the country. And we did give 2 of them the closest game they've faced all year (other than when they played each other). The other 2 we woulda/coulda/shoulda won, but even thosewere to ranked teams. But if we lose toone of the worst teams in the country and miss out on a bowl game, Mullen's going to start catching some heat for this season and he should.

...if Dan Mullen can not take his superior talent & win this Egg Bowl considering the disarray of the opponent, & considering an actual bowl bid is on the line, then Dan Mullen is a charlatan & must immediately resign upon witnessing Bradley Sowell running around Scott Field holding up the Egg Bowl trophy.

But his ole miss team is horrible. They remind me of Felker's 'Tech and ten' team. I don't even want to think about how many alcoholic blackouts I drank myself into to erase the memories of that year. We should win but his game may easily wind up as the rivalry pillow fight of the week.

If Ole Miss miraculously scores first it may be a competitive game. It's all about heart and apparently we don't have any.

Your team quit on this season maybe even before it started. But they're going to at least try to come into David Wade sky high and ready to play. If you score first, there's a chance they may be able to ride that emotion and make it a close game (I doubt you could win, but it's possible). But if we score first, it's going to get realy ugly.

If we win the toss, take the dang ball and prove that we are emotionally ready by ramming it down their throats. Winning the toss and kicking off against an inferior opponent is bad business. Petrino won the toss and took the ball because he KNEW they would score against an inferior opponent. Not sure he KNEW they would score in 2 mins and 28 seconds, but he KNEW they would score.

their ****** team's strengths is our defenses weakness......not to mention Nutts last game against the man he hates most (although no one will admit it)....

our offense is not good unless we are playing a CUSA team...

we haven't beaten Mississippi 3 straight times since the 40s....

nothing sets up well for us in this game...

and if Mullen loses this game, against the worst UM team in a 100 years, he and Megan can stop shopping for new furniture.....

we need Favre and trick plays to stay on the sideline....pound their *** like a bad porno....

...at the Rebel players during warmups. State had some absolute monsters on both teams while Ole Miss was filled with undersized, unskilled players. The 1978 game was won by John Fourcade in his first start 27-7. The second one was the Dick Pace game. <div>
</div><div>Note on the 1981 game. Current Meridian High Head Coach Larry Weems was an assistant on the Ole Miss staff in 1981. He told me there was no way they should've beaten State. He said, "They should've beaten us by 5 touchdowns". We complain about Dick "Hotty Toddy" Pace and rightly so. However, why was it so close with which to start? The State players didn't take Ole Miss seriously, and the Rebel players were fired up. </div>

in football. They will be ready to play this game. We can't do anything about it but be ready to play it as well. It provides an opportunity for Nutt to salvage some personal pride and they would love to ruin the ending of our already disappointing season. Forget how they played all year...it doesn't matter.

Ole Miss is done. Those guy are thinking Christmas break, end of semester, turning equipment in. Did you not see them on the side lines Saturday night. that was senior night playing theirmost hated rival. Did you not see their stadium. It was empty. Those guy are as demotivated as any team in history. That fat lady has been singing for a few weeks now. Our guys did play bad Saturday night but have you ever seen them play good in Little Rock? They will be ready this Saturday night. They got something on the line and Ole miss doesn't</p>

If I'm not mistaken, we've never lost 10 games. There may have been teams with less talent and the first game or two of the season they weren't the worst in history but at this point with the whole body ofworkthere literally has not been a worse team in the history of the program. I've been paying attention since the late 70s. I've had conversations with people a good bit older and those who really know the history all the way back...

Consensus is that it's the worst team in our history...not just me saying it.

The margin will be big..very big...and it will be big early.

If we were trying, I would agree that we would have a chance to pull a minor upset.

However, we aren't trying. The coaches have obviously mailed it in. The players are reflecting that. If the players could just stay home, most of them would. They haven't looked like they even wanted to be there the past few weeks, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Even if you play your worst game of the year, you'll win by default. I wouldn't even get nervous about it. We're not a very good team even when we are trying. We're that much worse now that we've quit.
