I hate when announcers say "dribble drive". THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO "DRIVE" IN BASKETBALL. If you drive without dribbling, it's called traveling. </p>
but there is a specific offense called "Dribble Drive Motion Offense" and that is Calipari's signature offense... so expect to hear that a lot tonight.
But nowadays (due in large part to Cal's offense, I would guess), any time a player drives to the basket, Dykes, and others, call it a "dribble drive." I think the term came from the Department of Redundancy Department.
