<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt"><font face="Calibri">Since I have elementary knowledge of the NCAA investigative process, I have a few questions for anyone who knows the process and/or the rules.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Has Auburn received a PLOI? If not and the NCAA is investigating Auburn or preparing to investigate, why haven’t they received a PLOI? If they have received one, can they keep it private or is it public record?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></font></p>

Neither Auburn nor MSU have admitted to receiving a PLOI. NCAA says it issues an LOI for any investigation. It would be pretty easy to find out if MSU had one, just by making a FOIA request. The FOIA statute in Alabama is pretty limited, so Auburn could cover up a PLOI for quite a while -- although I don't know why they would.

We really don't know what the NCAA is investigating, or even who got the investigation started. All we know is the recruitment of Cam Newton is at least part of the investigation.
