With all the talk about the PM backs, I have to weigh in. Nelson is strong and Dawson is a good runner that has a gift of finding the hole. Cook is a good athlete but just can't get loose against good teams. He got most of his yards against bad teams. He might have 40 yards on 30 carries against Rockbridge in 3 years. Cook is much better on defense than offense. I'm not sure PM will be able to stop GW's offense. PM will probably have to throw the ball a lot more than they are used to, to win but that is not what they do. I'm hoping for a PM win but realize it will be tough. I will predict GW 35 PM 27. The PM backs are not super fast like some others have said on here.
Riverheads will be too much for everyone. Galax could give them problems as they did last year. I will predict Riverheads 35 CB 14.
Altavista and Sussex I have no idea but I will predict Altavista 27 Sussex 21. Hard to pick against Sharnus.
Galax gets revenge over FC 41- 20.
I hope for good games and no injuries.

KJ Cook did have 57 yards on 13 carries this year so well over the 40 yards on 30 carries in 3 years that was said. Lol

Believe it or not Blaster, I will not be there. I will be driving back to Arlington in the morning. My gf has to work and I do as well sadly. They play better when I'm not there anyway lol!

I hate that you can't make it man but I understand real life comes first. Be safe on your trip. And I saw on here that the game will be live on FB so maybe you can catch it on there.

Saddest part of your post is, 40 yards in three years is all it would take to beat Rockbridge year in and out. To classify Rockbridge with good teams? Come on now Ray Charles can see what your motives are here.

Rockbridge is not a good team but is the 2nd best team PM has played to date with BG being the best team they have played. Not a bitter Rockbridge fan either. I would love to see PM win it all. I have always pulled for them. I haven't seen the great speed from any of the PM Running backs. They are good. Nelson and Cook are power backs and Dawson has a knack for finding the hole on cut backs. Cook struggled against BG and RCHS. He had a hard time finding running room against Covington. Maybe he will have a big game tonight. He will be a big part of their defense. GW is not as good as the Altavista team that knocked PM out 2 years ago so they will have a chance to win. I think the QB will have to make plays for them to win. If they would pass on first down, it would give him a better chance but that is not the PM philosophy. Maybe they will be able to push GW around and get the ground game clicking. If not then, hopefully they won't wait until it's too late to pass on first down. I'm not knocking the coaching staff either. They have done a wonderful job of doing what they know how to do.
