Houston's OC Dana Holgorsen is from the same offensive lineage as Tony Franklin, now OC at La Tech. They both learned their trade under Hal Mumme, and run very similar schemes. I think it's a huge advantage for us to have Diaz, who coached with Franklin for a year at Middle, and who has coached against the Air Raid for a few years against Troy while at Middle. I've seen Franklin speak, and he has a world of respect for Diaz, and from the little bit I know about Diaz, he picked Franklin's brain the entire time they worked together. This fact, along with Houston playing a freshman QB no matter which one it is, I feel will be enough for us to hold them to 3 scores or fewer. I really feel like if we don't turn the ball over we have a chance to come out of their with a nice win and good momentum heading to Gainesville, if it even matters.
