The Houston Astros will celebrate their 50th season this year. They will be wearing uniforms from different eras of the frachise this year. But MLB said they can't wear the uniforms from their first 3 years when they were the Colt 45s because the logo includes a pistol.

They also stopped the Tampa Rays from wearing the old uniform of the minor league Tampa Smokers last yearbecause it had a cigar on it. Original on left, the uniform they wore in 2011 on right.

Sounds like the name of a beer league softball team.

Like the uniform though. It's better than the (Devil) Rays original ones.

But yeah- pretty stupid on MLB's part. When was the last time someone killed someone or bought a gun because fo a baseball team name?
