Many eons ago, while still in the Army, I ran into the wife of an old drill sergeant buddy I had served with. He was currently in Korea, and she was living on Ft. Sill awaiting his return. She had just bought some furniture at the PXtra and it was being brought out to her car. Not realizing it would not fit she had not planned for it and was in a fix. Seeing her as I was leaving the parking lot, I drove over with my truck and had them load the furniture in the truck and I followed her home and helped off load it and put it in the house.

It boggles the mind sometimes how people can actually think this way without processing the situation but...

Love that you're still with us and am thankful to God for it, @AustinTXCat

A good friend of mine had a professor that was given a maximum of 6 months to live after they found a brain tumor. Told him he needed surgery to remove it. My friend was talking to him 12 yrs after the diagnosis. No surgery and no treatment. He knows God brought him to that day and those after through better health choices and more ethical living.
I have been of the mind that our days on this earth are numbered. How we live it is our doing. God knows the day, and it does not change. Since it is a fallen world, we must navigate through sickness and pain until our time is do. I too am glad @AustinTXCat is still among us and hope he will be for many more years. Never know until we do.

If it is true, it means he’s willing to accept terms that are different from what his contract says. That should be welcomed. Not only could the amount get lowered, but the timeframe for paying may be negotiable too. I’ll say this is a good sign Stoops will be gone after this year. Cutlers been around a long time. I wouldn’t think he’s BS’ing.

I do like the genetics I inherited.

It's not a given that they are going to line up the same even with siblings.

My father and uncle were business partners. They had a similar diet. They grew up in the same house for 20 years, lived two houses apart for 30 years and 1/2 mile apart for 15 years. They both had physically demanding jobs. They never smoked cigarettes, but in their 30s smoked cigars on Sundays.

They both worked with some nasty chemicals.

My uncle took on prostate cancer at 64 and fought it until age 75.

My uncle respected the hazards more than my father. My father was pretty reckless. They had some dry powder chems that they would have to premix with water in a 5 gallon bucket before adding the solution to a vat. They never wore a respirator of any kind. If my father couldn't find a paddle to stir the mixture in the bucket, I have seen him use his bare hand.

My dad had issues from every joint in his body being worn out, but never dealt with cancer. I've tracked my genealogy back to the early 1600s. My dad passed at 86. He lived the longest of any BBlueD paternal ancestors.

My oncologist calls me the "Outlier".

Just like the lottery, somebody has to win?

One of my buddies from my kids baseball days was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer three years ago. Early 50s and not too far out of shape. I've known three other men that were gone within six months of diagnosis.

He was hunting with his son at my place last weekend. I know the numbers are going to allow his fight, but it's a miracle as far as I'm concerned.

I'm glad you are here Austin.

It isnt and thats intentional. The sole purpose of that question is to piss people off. Im not doing it.
I think your statement pisses people off. And you throw it out like its some brave statement but not willing to back it up. Maybe you shouldn't make irresponsible, or inflammatory statements.

I don't know anyone on the board that worships Trump. Many of us like him, because he is someone that finally represents us. Most of us don't like his relationship with big pharma or big tech. We think he oversteps, like with the one year if you burn the flag. SCOTUS already ruled on that. He doesn't tell us what to think ... he (mostly) affirms what most of us think.

Peace on this.

Bill Maher on Kamala Harris and her book haha

“Kamala Harris’s new memoir of the 2024 election is called 107 Days. But it should have been called ‘Everyone sucks but me.’

“107 Days is a victim’s title because get it, she only had 107 days to win. Yeah, and a billion and a half dollars and a built-in army of about 75 million people who’d vote for any human-adjacent life form that wasn’t Trump.

“But in 107 Days, nothing is ever Kamala’s fault. Biden lets her down by not stepping down sooner. (Pouty face emoji). Gavin Newsom, he was asked for his endorsement but Gavin Newsom, but texted ‘Hiking. Will call back.’ But then never did. And then he didn’t even ask her to prom. “

America itself lets Kamala down by not being ‘ready’ for the running mate she really wanted, Pete Buttigieg. So she stuck with the Home Depot paint salesman [Tim Walz], and the rest is HERstory. Poor Kamala. We made her the star of a rom-com and didn’t even give her a gay best friend.

Kamala writes that on election night, when it was clear she lost, an aide peeled the words ‘Madam President’ off the cupcakes before handing them out. Oh, geez, that’s like a scene from Bridget Jones Runs for President, for Christ’s sake.”

Israel wasnt in the top 7 of money spent lobbying in the US over the last 10 years.
Ok, but that doesn't include paying off Trump on tariffs by investing here, does it? And why comment only on Israel & not the other six? Easy: it's anti-Israel bias.

Just got back from that Jason Aldeen concert in Tampa. Good show. Not a huge fan of this new rich boy country music junk, but he did a tribute to Charlie Kirk. That was awesome. Also talked good about kicking out illegals. So I like that.
Other than that. I heard dirt road, tractor, whiskey, dirty boots, and tractor again in all those songs

which was wild because the Nate Smith guy that opened up for Aldeen had the same things in his songs too.

lol, these guys aren’t real country
Country definitely isn't real anymore.

I am going strong at 71. Mild exercise and everything in moderation has been my golden rule. No special diet. Mild drinker. Never smoked tobacco.

The only surgery in my life was for cataract surgery. The only medication I take are eye drops for glaucoma.

I am not questioning your approach. I do like the genetics I inherited.
Agree. I've been on glaucoma prevention eye drops for 10 years.

I apologize for interjecting, but you say he oversteps on the burning of the flag issue. I agree.

Yet several people here gave "likes" to that post. How is that not worshiping to you? It is to me.

Something needs to be done about judges.

Then the trashy MSM puts out reports like calling a man a woman, disgusting and sick.

This is BS. Someone planned to take another’s life and the judge contemplates how BOP will handle the criminal’s imprisonment? MFer! “Hey, wanna-be-murderer, you probably did not consider what life like a transgender person will be like in prison, so let’s get you back quicker onto the streets.” People who live in that area should protest the court. Be heard that we are watching these judges who get paid life time hefty salaries.

Seems the court felt the mom was accepting responsibility for her son’s crazy ideations. Maybe she should go to jail too.

@CatinIL could probably expand on this, but the primary reason the US is the only TRUE superpower in the world: coastline and rivers...

Special teams has been one of the only bright spots for this team. Kicker is good too and just a freshman, gonna break some records here if he sticks around.

That being said, we got jobbed by not getting that roughing the kicker call.
Yes sir and that’s not a call you “miss”. Ref just decided not to call it. Unbelievable.

i appreciate what seems sincerity from your post. 2 thoughts

1. no, that isn't worship. just ppl liking something -- i would like ppl punished for desecrating the flag, but that is not the law. so it doesn't matter
2. stoops clock management sucks

edit 3rd observation... that was BS call on the reception...
