Does anyone have a link to piglet's contract? Back when Cal was on the hot seat, a link was posted on this site to Cal's contract as well as barnharts. I knew them forwards and backwards.

I remember talk, since I haven't read the contract it's talk, that stoops was in violation of the contract simply talking with tamu. That he didn't have barnhart's permission or knowledge that it was going down.

That violation voided the contract. It wouldn't matter to stoops if he took a new job and it was voided, but his deal fell through with tamu.

No?

If either of those things are true, then it would void his contract. If he didn't have permission and did so, and if it specified he couldn't talk to anyone. If he had Barnhart's permission, and I would think he did given the split among the fans, then the it doesn't matter.

Jfyi though Barnhart, like all ADs, talks to people to gage interest all the time. Imo, if they had grounds and had the right coach lined up, they'd have moved on by now, regardless of his previous record here prior to 2023). I hope they have great options available and lined up for this off-season, because this OC is not going to get it done.

We just have to hope that teams at traditional football schools that have coaches on the hot seat get much better before the season ends. To get a good coach we'll have to pay at least as much as we're paying Stoops. To get a great coach we'll likely have to match Smart's salary at Georgia (11M).

To anyone that coaches or loves football,

The Bears game today is why you take the points available decisively and move on to the next set of downs. Kick.the.FG. Kick.the.FG.

Defense and special teams saved their bacon again. That's why discipline and fortitude are so critical. They'll get you a few wins you wouldn't ordinarily get.

It seems Portland has been routinely in the news for years now related to Antifa violence and terror. I find myself wondering about the citizenry of the city. Like, are there any normal, rational people living there? Does anyone out there condemn this nonsense? Or are they all left wing lunatics and terrorists?

It seems Portland needs to get the Washington DC treatment with a large deployment of the National Guard to restore law and order. Stop tolerating this anarchy.

It was turned by California transplants that couldn't afford the mess they made, then they brought it with them. There had been a lot of hippies out that way, but they weren't nearly this extreme when my buddy lived there. He could see it changing though. He told me about how violent/militant some of the religious groups were/could be even when he was there. It would surprise a lot of people.

Yep. And where did the money go? Who received it? The same people that are killing Christians....

Anyone here ever wonder if our govt has been purposefully engaged in setting the world up for globalism with other nefarious leadership so that we could be the ones to rule it when it was ready, but are only now figuring out we were only ever meant to be just a vehicle? Just another piece on the board? Yeah, me neither

Mitch didn't go that direction, I misremembered(?) and we are left with where we are at.

The original 2012 contract is extended with amendments, not a whole new document. The payable due at 60 days after dismissal ******** didn't start until the third extension in 2017.

In the words of an awe shucks poster, if you are interested:

^No real point other than at the time it appeared that Mitch was in the dark.

Would absolutely change zero direction.

This is one of those "it cost what it cost" deals. I also think every sec coach uses mark stoops to get a better salary. :ROFLMAO:

"They are paying Stoops $9 mil and you are paying me x... Really?"

For years, birth defects have been on the rise in the U.K. because so many of their Pakistani community among other immigrants in England often marry their first cousins. Did the English decide enough was enough and steer back towards sanity and civilization...

Nope, of course not. Their National Health Service says marrying one's first cousin is really amazing.

"The NHS has been urged to apologize for publishing guidance extolling the benefits of first-cousin marriage despite the increased risk of birth defects..."

I was shocked that the Packers ended up with a tie.

Love was running for his life most of the game. You can tell that they're missing 3 starters on the O-line, and 2 starters at WR. If they don't get healthy over the bye week it might be a long season.

Also, Packers DC, Jeff Hafley got thoroughly outcoached. Hafley stubbornly stayed with a standard base 4 man pass rush, when it was clear that it wasn't getting the job done. Add to that that when had to play 3rd string CB Carrington Valentine and 3rd string safety Bo Melton (who was a WR last year LOL) when Hobbs and Bullard went out early in the 2nd half the wheels fell off. The Packers really should have addressed the secondary in last years draft but they refused. The starters are sufficient, but the backups are trash.

Don't even get me started on special teams. If they don't get a FG and an extra point blocked in back to back weeks, they're 4 and 0 right now.

If's, but's and what not. They'd better pray that the O-line gets healthy during the bye, or Love won't last the season.
