Jay-z is the producer and has been since 2019. I think if his contract was up for renewal this year instead of last, we might have seen the end of this.

I just think it's a dumb decision. I feel a lot of people that speak English only will turn off the halftime show.

What's next, are we gonna have a guy that only sings in English perform at the half of the big futbol game in Mexico city? Lmao.

And before the bleeding liberals respond, I get the percentage of people that can understand Spanish n the usa is higher than the percentage of Mexicans that probably understand English. That's not the point.

"[He] dragged her out of bed naked, forced on her knees with her hands over her head ... BANG! Dead. Gone."

"Why? Because Alexander Davante Dickey, who was arrested 39 godd*mn times, 25 felonies, was on the street..."

Logan Federico was visiting friends at the University of South Carolina on May 3 when career criminal Alexander Dickey, 30, broke in and shot her before stealing her credit cards and going on a shopping spree.

Dickey had 39 previous arrests and 25 felonies.

I can't imagine how these 80, 90, 100,000 dollar trucks are selling.

Who is BUYING these? The average household income in the US is 63,000 dollars per year. There is no way that that budget can afford these things.

What in the hell are the automakers thinking?

It just seems to me that Ford, for example could produce a base trim (non-power windows, cloth seats, steel wheels etc.) sedan, SUV, compact car, small truck, and 1/2 ton pickup line all with a sticker price range between 16,000 (compact) up to like 38,000 for the 1/2 ton truck.

They wouldn't be able to make them fast enough.

No. It's business. The Vandy coach signed a contract just like Stoops. What is a travesty is that the UK football program was underfunded and sucked so abysmally for decades that digging out from that abyss put us in this (temporary) situation.

Timing is everything. Vandy saved a ton of money for years not trying to compete, and then a great environment and circumstances came along for them to enjoy some football. A whipped/chained, neglected, and fearful dog performs quite differently under long term pressure than an average dog raised with care and good training does under occasional pressure.

One thing is sure. Those Vandy fans are enjoying their success while it's happening. It would truly be a travesty if they didn't.
No. That contract is abysmal. You don't increase the cost of us firing him... that was stupid. Oh and he never deserved 9 million a year.

Honestly, I'm surprised lower-end models are not selling better. Priced new Nissan Versa at $20K. But some folks willing to take on debt.

Ford is going to start giving new truck loans to sub-prime borrowers starting in October.

The average price for a new Ford truck is like 75000 dollars. (sticker)

A subprime loan for 80,000 plus dollars at 20 percent. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

A 1900 dollar a month truck payment at 84 months.

Now might be a great time to go into the repo business. The default rates on those will be 90 percent plus. Guaranteed.

Cant wait for taxpayers to bail out this stupid program. You know its coming.

I haven't had a car payment since 2009 (no GYERO), but my vehicles are all absolute BEATERS now. The combined mileage on the three (S10, Scion, and Corolla) is 480,000 LOL

Honestly, they give my driveway a definite white trash/poor vibe. 🤣

But I can't bring myself to buy a new one. And even used car and truck prices are obscene.

Most Libertarians are either Democrats that don’t want to call themselves Democrats or Republicans that don’t want to call themselves Republicans.
Indeed. I've met both strains.

Myself, I'm a huge non-profit education advocate; totally dig conservation and despise pollution. Really embrace renewables. Find plastic bottles disgusting. Wife is soundly pro-choice while I'm in the middle. Otherwise, we're staunch R with minor exceptions.

Didn’t mean to be over analyzed by what I said other than God tells us in many various ways to fear not. With what’s coming it is going to be important for those that are of God to remember this and whatever happens, it doesn’t really matter as long as you have faith in God!

I don't know you, and this is a political forum, so you will get feedback. If you're sensitive about that, it may hurt. We have in here plenty of posters that post about religion that have no faith and are doing it for that reason. I won't apologize for not knowing your intent.

Back in 2020, the biggest fear mongers came from the very people that I go to church with.

That sucks. I did not have that experience.

Yes you are correct in everything you said.

It's not that I am correct. It's the Bible. I'm a sinner.

But, God does state, in various forms and fashions, to fear not 365 times. If you dwell in fear, then you obviously don’t put faith in what He says, because He tells you to fear not over and over and over again. If you don’t have faith in what He says, all that other stuff you said doesn’t really matter.

if you don't have faith, you are unable to follow any of the other things to which I referred. You CAN have very weak faith. Most do when they first believe. Many do later in life even if they have been believers their whole life. You said as much about your church above.

The question to me is not whether you have faith but if you have faith in EVERY WORD or just the ones that are convenient and unchallenged. I don't mess around with half-truths when it comes to the Word. Never will.

i dont let pastors get away with it, so I sure won't here.

If God was testing us in 2020, we all failed miserably when it comes to fear. And, If you are paying attention, they are telling us that something is coming!!

Not all here were fearful. Even when threatened publicly and privately. We'd have evidence of that if someone didn't delete all of it, and censor our posts during that time.

We all agree that something is coming (conservatives here anyway). I hope you're sincere in your faith and that we get to see that more over the days ahead. We need to stick together and communicate.

May God bless you and yours

Yep. Saved my combat pay plus a little and bought a brand new Camaro when I got back. Never made a car payment in my life, but I now drive a 2018 Caravan which doubles as a delivery van. Been buying used vehicles when I need one, but now they also cost to much. I tend to save till I can afford something instead of going in debt. My closest neighbors are Amish. One of them told me the other day I should buy a couple of horses. Maybe he is right.😁

If you want to know one reason people are so obnoxious these days about politics, just read what they read. As an example, this “news” by CNN is filled with commentary language. Even the headline that suggests when the Dems threaten to shutdown the government it must be different than when the GOP has done so. Read this and try not to conclude who is at fault. You cannot. It is filled with triggering language.

Very similar to almost all Network news casts and even most local news. A few words carefully placed to give you the “ negative” feel , plus not mentioning anything good going on in the country.

Car prices are insane, but I’m hoping I can pay cash for my next “used” ride. I currently drive a 2004 Taurus I bought off a guy in Georgetown back in 2021. It only had 42k miles, and I wrote him a check for $4000. It has 77k miles on it now, and still runs like a top.

No car payment is awesome. Why the masses can’t grasp this concept boggles the mind.

Many years ago, my friend decided to quit smoking. This was during the time cigg prices were out the roof. He said what he paid a month on ciggs, he could use that money as a new truck payment. He bought a new dodge, and stopped smoking, but he died of lung cancer before he had that truck paid for.

People are all about appearances. As you know, cars are the worst "investment" you can make. Depreciating assets are a no-no. Like they say, people with money don't drive nice cars and people with no money buy nice cars.
