I make all the paper shades for Lehman's (who bought Aladdin Lamp several years ago). The shades are made from dulcote. Normal shades are made from styrene, but the heat from a kerosene lamp will melt plastic, so we use dulkote. I buy it in bulk. Four years ago, I paid 1.75 a yard. There is only 1 USA supplier left. Today he quoted me 12.15 a yard. I can buy it from China for 3 for plain shades, but we need one side dull to print on. Since they are the only domestic supplier left, they are trying to gouge people.

@berniecarbo Can you apply any kind of chemical surfactant to the side your printing, like a TSP, to get the surface to accept printing? It might not take but a light spray of it across the surface. That would be a pita to apply and wipe off, I know, but at that price.... dang.

Sorry they're gouging you on that.

Thanks. My wife and I are the only two workers these days and she is trying some things today. I'll ask her what she thinks. We have never had to deal with that kind of thing before. Back in the eighties when we worked a full crew, I bought dulkote a semi load at a time for 30 cents a yard.

It’s funny how every Christian in Europe was aware at some level, since at least about 800 AD, that Islam was a malevolent alien force that had to be kept in check and defended against.

Except where the use of their fighters was concerned, as many kings and would be rulers hired a large number of their forces from about 1100 AD onward. The armies of the holy Roman emperors used both the threat and the warriors as weapons in their arsenal. When the leadership needed to bring areas back under their control, they simply left them alone to deal with moslem armies and raids.

I don't have any doubt that's what they're being used for now as well. Rich people using them to take down economies and eventually the countries, just as they used us to do the same.

Then, somehow, we were told around 2001 that these people were no different than us and could make perfectly good neighbors and countrymen.

What degree of insanity is that?

It's a whole different level of insanity than I ever expected to see. Same level of insanity as the mass murder/suicides of the last few decades.

Whoever controls the media has brought this all upon the world.

Scum for sure.

A few dollars today to buy your soul for decades. The goal since the 60s has been to destroy this economy so the republic would fall with it. They drove the whole "drug abuse, crime, and homelessness is OK" paradigm to do it. They drove prices up through corrupting the unions and govt waste until inflation could do the rest. This generation of politicians is trying to accelerate it so they can make generational money off of the transition.

Sick people

Hope it works for you. A friend saw your post and suggested it. I just forwarded the info. He used it some slick "mylar" once to get it to take/hold a screen print?

Yet, some posters still want to argue with him
So the new poster should be able to come on here and spew their untruths with no repercussions ? No and look what happened. Lost in Florida used the posters own words to prove that he wasn’t being truthful. What happened after that? The mods either showed him the door or he just quit posting. Either way a win-win that wouldn’t have occurred if he hadn’t been challenged.

Guy creates a usernam solely to complain that people in the political thread are regularly talking about politics.

All the mods have to do to not have to police this thread is precisely that: ban all these drive-bys who have no real interest in this thread other than to troll/derail it.

I don’t post here ever obviously. I loathe politics.

so my only question is what the **** happened since then? What changed his mind? What made em all change their mind? Is it because they know their policies are shiit now so they’re hoping flooding America with illegals and setting em up as voters eventually is about the only way to keep their votes going? Whats the only other logical answer?

I think they're bots meant to increase engagement and unleashed when the views start lagging. Without the posters on your list, the thread managed to drop back to a more manageable number of pages per day.

It was nice not to have to scroll through trolling and the responses to it. The fish need to stop taking the bait.
my bad. i wanted to refute... i think i did reasonably well... didn't call the evil f'r evil or anything.
