I wonder if the barbarians made tearful speeches about prejudice as they sacked Rome?
F him and all.

Sure, those are barrels full of chum. Hooper and Chief Brody are after another one.I know when I go fishing, I always run 3 big a$$ outboard engines, a bunch of storage barrels, and no rods or reels.
Weird. I made this post probably 2 hours or so ago.Agree with #1. With #2, also a fair point but I think the difference is that those jobs that were eliminated that created new and different Jobs were done by people (not all I realize that). My concern is that mainly robots will be working in the robotic plants. Not all technological advances are equal. At some point, whether we like it or not, there will be some serious pain involved.
Where will the universal basic income come from? Those who still have a job paying taxes? If so, being how AI has been taking a lot of jobs, what would be their tax rate to not only pay for that but pay for everything else that we pay for now? I am not picking at you, but I have heard this UBI point for so long now regarding people who need this to live once jobs are gone that I wondered where the money would come from. I mean, those still in the work force would be paying for it as well as the corporate businesses I suspect, but I was just thinking about how much money that would take and where would it come from.It absolutely is.
People keep thinking that life is going to be status quo and it is not. AI is going to destroy this---and it's going to be used to push UBI. Watch and see.
So we are undeniably headed toward AI domination, technocracy, universal basic income, mass surveilance state and digital ID/currency. It won't happen for boomer's but it's going to be a probem for everyone else.
We will all live on Big Rock Candy Mountain where there are soda water fountains and lemonade springs. And the hens lay soft boiled eggs.Where will the universal basic income come from? They’re gonna need a bigger boat.Sure, those are barrels full of chum. Hooper and Chief Brody are after another one.
Got to have unicorns too.We will all live on Big Rock Candy Mountain where there are soda water fountains and lemonade springs. And the hens lay soft boiled eggs.
Half of them will be poached. By that I mean stolen by those who want more than their share. There will always be liberal types (criminals) in the systemWe will all live on Big Rock Candy Mountain where there are soda water fountains and lemonade springs. And the hens lay soft boiled eggs.
We do already. The name has been changed over the years to Rhinoceros.Got to have unicorns too.
There is a lake of stew and whisky to.Got to have unicorns too.
The jails are made of tin, so you can walk right out again. Oops, sorry, that is here right now in some blue cities.Half of them will be poached. By that I mean stolen by those who want more than their share. There will always be liberal types (criminals) in the system
That damn cotton gin is going to take my job. Then again, one can adapt and learn to work on cotton gins. You know like humans have always had to do. You can't stop innovation. Not sure what sort of crazy thing you think Trump can do to stop it. Other nations like China are moving towards fully autonomous dark plants to produce vehicles. (.and thats despite having billions of people who need work). If GM, Ford, etc do not, they will be out of business because they can't compete. If my mid 50's self can change career directions and learn the STEM skills needed to work on these things anyone else can. Stagnation is damnation. He’s buddied up with all of these terrible people- Bezos, Zuckerberg, Gates, Pfizer, etc. He’s not saving us.
We are going to get smoked with AI- catastrophic unemployment is coming.

Come on. Flu deaths averaged 40-50K/yr w/o covid before the distance thing. No one knows how easily covid spread vs. flu nor the relative lethalness of each. Net, you 384K number for covid is meaningless for flu deaths. The distance thing that reportedly resulted in 384K covid deaths in the US in 2020 ? So the distance thing worked for the flu but not covid as we were preached to over and over? LOL.
Well Tucker sux. This is the Telegram group chat that the left went nuts about. A lot of Gen Z NY Young Republicans who were saying edgy stuff and racially insensitive stuff (blacks and Jews) and Gavin Wax, a big time Zionist "Republican", blackmailed a guy to give him access to the Telegram chat, turned around and worked with Politico for a year to destroy his rivals.
Ben Shapiro and all of the Israel shills went bananas over it and wanting to purge the right of anyone who doesn't bow down to them---Matt Walsh said he didn't care about a group chat as the right needs to unite against the left considering how evil they are. Well, Shapiro and his cronies were enraged by that so they want him destroyed and Walsh is teetering on the land of being ostracized like Tucker is.
it was also not based on any science. it was for show ... to make people "feeeel" better. LMAO.The distance thing that reportedly resulted in 384K covid deaths in the US in 2020 ? So the distance thing worked for the flu but not covid as we were preached to over and over? LOL.
Sure reduced them though. Not everyone became a hermit so there was transmission anyway. No way to know how much it helped with covid but it absolutely had to. I have no doubt that someone that spent 2019-2021 alone on a boat didn't get covid.Social distancing didn’t stop Covid cases.
It didn't disappear, just greatly reduced. Don't no where you got the disappear routine. There were however many million. While at the same time flu cases plummeted. Yet we know the flu virus didn’t just disappear.
OKI’m not dismissing that Covid killed people but I have serious doubts about how many. Those numbers are absolutely not credible for multiple reasons but the main one is that since 2020 we have seen our institutions absolutely lying out their asses about everything from crime to the border to inflation to vaccines to laptops to J6.
OK. To my knowledge, since 2000 we haven't had more than 70K flu related deaths in a year. I take that number as extremely severe. We’ve had extremely severe flu episodes before. Not once did we destroy the fabric of our society as a response, but we did in 2020. We deserve answers.
I'm not the one designing this or wishing for it. I'm saying it will be pitched to us.Where will the universal basic income come from? Those who still have a job paying taxes? If so, being how AI has been taking a lot of jobs, what would be their tax rate to not only pay for that but pay for everything else that we pay for now? I am not picking at you, but I have heard this UBI point for so long now regarding people who need this to live once jobs are gone that I wondered where the money would come from. Go and have a look see at the history of Rome. Concentrate upon the end of the Republic. Roman elites owned most everything. They imported slaves to fill the jobs so that they didn't have to pay Romans a Roman wage. They bought out the small farmer and consolidated farming into large slave driven manses. The citizens saw it coming but they had no leverage. The appealed to the senate but the elites owned them and their pleas fell on deaf ears.I get that, sure. But at the end of the day you:
1) can’t stop progress or advancement, certainly not through legislation so I don’t really see what can be done politically
2) this has been said about every new industry since the dawn of time. The printing press was going to eliminate jobs, the assembly line, cars, computers, the internet etc. They were right in that they did eliminate the job market for the old technologies, but for whatever reason nobody accounted for or realized it would open up jobs in the new industry that we don’t really know about yet.
Theyre waiting for their next martyr to trigger nationwide unrest.Iirc a vehicle is considered a deadly weapon and officers can respond with deadly force.
I am sure they are all constantly reminded to show restraint. The first time they, or a national guard, have to actually fire on someone it will be allllllll over the news
And hence the Globalist depopulation agenda. Is the ultimate outcome the loss of 500k jobs? That's the part im focusing on.
The details between ai and robotics (i saw this one was robotics) are irrelevant because its all derived from the same source and have the same result.
I am a free market person, but when the largest company in the world cuts 75% of its workforce that is a massive cost savings at the expense of several jobs.
This is just one. Every company out there all has this stuff in their development roadmaps. Im sure that's where this was leaked for Amazon.
Our society can neither fiscally nor emotionally handle half the country not having gainful employment.
Hyperbolic fear porn. The exact same thing was stated about computers when they became practical in business. It's only an ending for those unwilling to learn new skill sets. Once again, you expect Trump to stop innovation? Perhaps we should all just be Amish.Classic.
Yeah, let's act like this is as simple as converting VHS to DVD or car from horse.
The cotton gin analogy fails because it created more jobs overall (farming boomed, new roles in transport/processing). AI automation is different: it's general-purpose, replacing cognitive labor across all sectors simultaneously—drivers, coders, accountants, lawyers, even STEM maintainers—faster than humans can retrain en masse.
That was a gradual shift. AI will immediately knock out like millions in 5-10 years. You also run the risk of something like China’s “dark plants” which prove the point: they automate despite cheap labor, because robots don’t unionize, sue, or age out.
Adaptation assumes new jobs appear. This time, the machine does the adapting. Stagnation isn’t the risk—irrelevance is.
Well now. THAT was quite the statement by Kentucky Basketball.
Suddenly, I care even LESS about this year's football team.
UBI more than makes up for it. I don't see the AI economy could/would pay for anyone of them really. If the goal is for the corporation to make and keep more money what makes anyone think they would support UBI.I'm not the one designing this or wishing for it. I'm saying it will be pitched to us.
"Where does the money come from?” objection assumes today’s tax base and spending model survive AI disruption. They won’t. They would likely take from the AI economy more than the dwindling human one.
Not to mention, with fewer people working, that's fewer human entitlements like unemployment insurance, food stamps, medicaid--- maybe UBI replaces the welfare stack instead of adding to it.
I mean, there's historical precedent for this if you think about it. In 1900, 40% of Americans farmed. Tractors wiped them out. We didn't just tax the remaining 60% like crazy. We taxed tractor companies, railroads, and oil. I imagine this would be the same?
Like I said, I don't know. I don't want that to happen. I just expect the worst from the worst people.
Seemed everyone was having a good time out on the floor. Looked pretty good in transition and the flow of the game was good.Well now. THAT was quite the statement by Kentucky Basketball.
Suddenly, I care even LESS about this year's football team.
I just got back from Maine …..none of the far leftists care .
If the scrimmage is not what you expect, the #3 ladycats play volleyball at seven
