I didn't read that, but I have zero doubt that it vindicates what I said which is that the reason people don't have snap benefits is because the Dems refuse to end the shutdown, and that as it stands now, the USDA doesn't have access to the contingency funds.

Look at pictures from Hurricane Andrew in 92, that was a cat 5, houses gone, trees stripped bare.

Maybe, but the post was stating wind speed. There’s actually outlined parameters for taking official Hurricane wind speed. I think it’s from 33ft off the ground where it k fairly certain it was taken in the 1935 storm.
If there’s 185 mph sustained winds in Jamaica it will be utter devastation just like Andrew in 92.

I believe there is a correlation between the two. The lower the pressure the higher the wind speed.

This whole situation right now is like a repeat of 1980 after Reagan took over. . Reagan couldn't do any wrong according to some, but he effed over vets pretty hard and made some serious, serious, screw ups like giving us an "assault weapons" ban and turning the crazies lose on the populous. He was also doing his best Biden at the end for who knows how long while others ran the country.
Yet, Reagan's policies gifted the US a booming economy that carried all the way through the end of the 90s, and a revitalized American sociological revival. HIs first year in office was one of the worst economic downturns in US history. We are right now looking at something similar. It took a few years before Reagan's policies were able to fully affect things, so the book is still out for Trump's legacy, but I like his chances to pull off Reagan part 2. That's why I tolerate his warts.
