My health insurance rates are going up 20%. A friends company just did the same. Between health insurance spikes, home insurance doing the same thing, grocery bills still pretty much at their inflation peaks (at least where I am).. You got mortgage and car loan delinquencies on the rise. Lots of layoffs and a stagnant job market. IDK. It's a mess out there. You can't tell me that there aren't a large percentage of families that are falling into middle/lower class.

I applaud Trump for trying to fix this. But boy, it sure seems unfix-able. Some of this sort of feels like a "burn it down and rebuild" situation.

I'm selling my Duplex in part because my tenant turned into a piece of **** once she started dating Jamal, and part because I really feel safer pulling the equity out now, than trying to continue being a landlord in NYS with costs on the rise. A lot of articles talking about how rental income should no longer include the potential of property values going up in your profit calculations. Instead it really needs to come down to rents vs mortgage/taxes/insurance/upkeep. You can't bank on your property investment to go up, and honestly, I agree 100%. Taking the equity and running (and celebrating with the wife to no longer be landlords, with some nice bourbon lol).
