How exactly, are the Republicans supposed to get the message out? Via the media?
They can at least try. I don't see them going on podcasts, blogs, or posting on socials. They just aren't playing up a very winnable position. Such is the usual.

I was very fortunate to buy mine in 2018. Used the tax advantages of owner-occupied and made some good money. But life is too busy, one of the tenants is a train wreck and I just dont see how duplexes and rental property can go up in value until people fan afford the rents. So im pulling the equity now in case things get worse. And wouldnt you have it, my company just laid off about 7% of its staff.
I purchased for 150k, two unit. Selling for 302k. The problem is. Even if someone wanted the house for say 375 or 400k, it wouldn't make sense from the rental income perspective. You'd be breaking even.
So until the lower/middle class makes more money and we have good job growt, rents cant go up. If rents cant go up, than the rental property value is capped. Thats at least what im telling myself, but I truly believe we are in that scenario where home prices just cant go much further because who is left to buy?

The odds of having a crappy tennant in a duplex you bought for 150k are awfully high, lol. Glad you are making out ok though.

According to the National Association of Realtors home prices are starting to decline in most US markets, and inventory is starting to rise, as people are starting to list more homes due to the decrease in interest rates.

Believe it or not, that wasnt that low of a price back in 2018, and that was upstate NY a decently priced home market. Duplexes really dont have a ton of value because they are often 100 years old and in fairly urban areas. The most they would run around my wpuld be 250k. I happened to nab this one in a part of the area that was on the rise. I lucked out for sure.
Tenant was actually fine for a while. And simply got a bad boyfriend who ruined her life.

I like Massie, generally, but his contrarian attitude is not helpful at all for getting things done. He can talk all day about what he wants, but if no one else is backing his ideas, what's the point of voting the opposite to prove a point?
