Don't understand why posters are conversing with him and haven't put him on ignore yet. They're giving him exactly what he wants.
Agreed. I don't understand why posters discuss sports in the political thread when there is a complete board for sports discussion. I have asked in the event something occurred that I am not aware. No explanation.

i like to talk in this thread with the people that i like, and that includes all topics including sports. it is really that simple for me.

why go to another thread to deal with a bunch of rabid ppl, when the people i really like are right here?

When God goes looking for a country/folk singer to do some a$$ kicking by proxy, I think George Jones is far better suited for the task than Wille. I LOVE Willie, but I'm just saying; with his legendary temper and 72 IQ, George is the perfect a$$ kicking device. The dude ran into a concrete bridge abutment at almost 100 miles an hour, and walked away from it, so he's practically The Terminator. LOL
LoL, George Jones. Absolutely. Read about his IQ issues. We're also talking same dude who drove his lawnmower couple miles away for gas after losing his license. Heh.

Looks like the Canuck's Milo account is gone...sadly he will be back, the Milos, the Monday Nitros, the Sams...these guys will start an infinite number accounts to be here. Probably 500 accounts between them. Do they ever have a screen name that is 2 or 3 years old? haha
I think the mods have done a good job of letting the back and forth go between us but weeding out those that come in here intentionally trying to get someone or the thread banned.

I think they messed up on 55 though. No idea why he got banned.

The problem is that he's not sure where they go, so he continually tries to stuff them into his rectum.

All of this Social Security talk really drives home the point of just what a terrible deal it is, when you consider the 12.4 percent contribution rate (when you include employer contributions)

Can you imagine what a self-directed retirement account would be worth by the time you're 65 if 12.4 percent of every dollar you ever earned had been invested, starting with your very first job (for most folks, when they're 15 or 16 years)? Good grief...

Granted, it's not really feasible because if everyone did that, it would do really strange things to the stock market (distorting it to the breaking point probably. I'm not an economist, but at face value, it doesn't seem workable), but it DOES beg the question; Those funds, from it's inception, should have been invested in SOMETHING, even low yield. It could have avoided a lot of issues, and our debt would not be nearly as large as it is now.
All this is good, but SS also covers disabilities, non-working widows, and minor kids of deceased payees, plus slackers.

Unfortunately, there are/were not enough fiscally responsible/educated people early on in my life or the life of others who had/have the wherewithal to prepare for retirement and would have probably spent that 12.4%. Luckily, my daughter has my wife investing all of the money she now has (because of me) and it has grown very well. She is teaching my daughter the things my parents nor hers even tried to do for us. We are breaking the cycle of what happened in our family for years before us.

My wife started investing my daughter's money almost 2 years ago and it has doubled since then. Good start so far.
I'm contributing to grandkids Roths as soon as they are working part-time jobs.

Look, I’m a firm believer in separation of powers, but that also means that judges CAN NOT overstep their power, like this one is. And I have no idea why the House isn’t impeaching all of these Leftist judges who are blatantly thumbing their nose at the law.
It would be a symbolic waste of time, like the shutdown, b/c the Dims in the Senate would never convict them & thus they stay in their position.

lol, you're talking to a guy that makes it his life's work to get anybody banned that doesn't bow down to his little group......while he turns his head while they get banned and make new accounts. He Liberals more than any of the liberals here. What a world. I ignore them all.

This is half funny but half sad that people really cant figure out why this movie didnt do well at the box office.

View attachment 1000727
Very true. In an era where people don't even go to the theater like they once did, you think they're going on a date and dropping over $50 just to watch an arthouse movie about a lesbian boxer that didn't even get a big marketing push? The Rock's Smashing Machine only made $5M at the box office. People don't give a sht.

Short of big summer blockbusters, you're not going to really make a killing anymore at the theater. Look at the biggest box office producers this year.

lol I’m being played? You have any idea how many illegals are in this country? He’s not going to get enough of them out here to make a major dent. He’s also all about H1-B Indians coming over. You think this is MAGA? It’s insane.
This is about ILLEGAL immigration. You are simply nothing more than a more subtle Sam.
You dont have a firm grasp on MAGA, which is what one should expect from someone trying to hitch their agenda to it.

SS is paid starting at age 62. I know teachers who retired and drew their pensions at 50 and 51. No one cries about their jobs more than teachers.
In Kentucky teachers do not get SS, AND if their spouse (non-teacher) was drawing SS and dies the SS dies as well.

No, you're a DA who acts like every fool that views things like it's a sports team and you have to be an apologist for a coach. "You're not a fan if you don't blindly support this," I've been on here in support of this guy for over 10 years on this same board. I'm more right wing than all of you. The cope people like you have is so absurd. Watching you switch positions with whatever you're told to in that moment or the thinking it's some "4D CHESS!" to act like it's somehow a MAGA position to be about H-1B Visas (Something that made everyone turn on Vivek because it's not a popular position), or saying we need 600k Chinese students in this country, or prioritizing another country, still giving foreign aid, and being involved in foreign conflicts.

"You don't have a firm grasp on MAGA." Oh, the MAGA that's now turning into the same neocon garbage we rejected in the first place? You're every bit as bad as the dolts on the left who act like blind apologists.

Most teachers have the required 40 quarters to get a social security benefit by the time they retire. I don't know ANY that didn't. They're aware of what they need, and they do it. Any job they ever worked as a teen, during college, summers, substitute teaching before they're hired, it all counts.

And therefore, they are eligible to receive their spouses survivor benefit (if it's greater than their benefit)

They just changed that last year. A retired teacher I know that had her husband pass seven years ago got a lump sum and then started receiving his check monthly.

She was pretty happy with the unexpected windfall.

In Jefferson County they do not pay into SS. so therefore they cannot draw. It's odd how this is because my wife worked for JCPS for twenty-five years as a bookkeeper. She does draw SS. She was called a classified worker where teachers are certified. She pays nothing for her insurance (other than medicare) whereas certified employees have to pay for insurance when they retire.

This can really be a windfall for gop if they dont fumble. Its been a very long time since i can recall dems making such a blunder. Their in fighting is proof positive they were the ones causing the shutdown.

Hopefully this is finally the end of their effective hive mind. Maybe the ngo disruption caused it?
Maybe until they start paying their new health insurance premiums.

Glad they changed that because we always thought it was bullshat that a spouse pays into it then it stops if they pass. Glad to hear that up-date
