The tech bros only care about their new toy, not ideology, and I really don't think it's about the money or the power either... the real problem will be ethics and unforeseen consequences. It looks like a great idea to start a company letting your college share pictures and info, take it national so everybody can stay in touch, then next thing you know you are responsible for the scourge that is social media, people's mass delusions and cultivated ignorance, while the government is coming to you telling you to censor the truth to make sure the preferred candidate is installed. All that nonsense we've lived through is going to look like child's play especially if they are pulling the strings. You'll yearn for the days when it was just twitter they controlled.
I count it as one... but it's also an argument that's very overblown.
