Wealth and influence are different though. The Vatican doesn’t have a Mossad that could overthrow most governments overnight if they wanted to. Most conservative Christians don’t think Catholics are actually Christian, but they love them some Jews, especially in Washington. Sure, there is probably more money underneath the Vatican than there is in Israel, but the pope doesn’t own our politicians. That’s the difference.

Saudia Arabia gives our govt more lobbying money. And youre talking about a nation, not a religion. Mossad is controlled by their government, not a synagogue. My point is we arent bending to Muslims bc of how much money Saudi gives us, etc.

Also, when I say “Jews” I don’t really mean your run of the mill Jewish person. I mean Israel. The amount of strings they can pull given their tiny size and population is overpowered, and it’s mostly because our own government has allowed them to.
The amount of money spent by both sides on the abortion issue over the years is probably 10 figures. It shouldn’t be a concern of the government. Let people make their own decisions and spend all that money on something that helps actual people, not groupings of cells.

I’ve said it before, but living here is like free money. If you live in the US and have a 3 digit IQ and a mediocre work ethic, you should never want for money. Admittedly, even Canada isn’t like that. There is no country in the world that offers less resistance to being comfortable financially than the good old USA. 75% of the adult population couldn’t assemble an IKEA product by themselves.

There's a chasm between not being perfect and arguing in court that you aren't bound by your own standard. They could've just admitted their mistake, apologized and gone on. That could reasonably be construed as "not perfect." But spending taxpayer money to fight the situation in court, including arguing your own document that you specifically told people would be enough is now insufficient, is beyond the pale. You have to admit that.
What's to stop any citizen from being detained at their whim and be unable to prove citizenship if they won't accept their own legal document?
Saudi Arabia sucks too. People say NY forgot 9/11 but people who support our relationship with SA definitely did. We absolutely are bending over for them just because they give us money. Why should we be allied with a religious monarchy on the other side of the planet with an atrocious human rights record? It's purely for geopolitical interest. We shouldn't be on the same team as Israel or SA.
