Great stuff from JD Vance as always.

Vance: First off, fentanyl isn't the only drug in the world and there is still fentanyl coming from Venezuela (or at least there was).

Second, cocaine, which is the main drug trafficked out of Venezuela, is a profit center for all of the Latin America cartels. If you cut out the money from cocaine (or even reduce it) you substantially weaken the cartels overall. Also, cocaine is bad too!

Third, yes, a lot of fentanyl is coming out of Mexico. That continues to be a focus of our policy in Mexico and is a reason why President Trump shut the border on day one.

Fourth, I see a lot of criticism about oil. About 20 years ago, Venezuela expropriated American oil property and until recently used that stolen property to get rich and fund their narcoterrorist activities. I understand the anxiety over the use of military force, but are we just supposed to allow a communist to steal our stuff in our hemisphere and do nothing? Great powers don't act like that.

The United States, thanks to President Trump's leadership, is a great power again. Everyone should take note.

Yeah. That year had some people missing the days of 10-loss-Tubby.

That was the season that sent me over the edge, had already been smarting from the Wisconsin loss (umm, shotcklock?) and the UNC elite 8 rooferee debacle, but when you start making the program about leftist lies (nevermind the blatant racism and ignorance that is blm) and start kneeling before games in allegiance to your marxist gods, then it's over for me. You simply can't do that and me take you seriously, nevermind the product on the floor, which obviously suffered for it, the distractions.

I know only check in here or there, never thought I'd be here but here "we" are...

Yep. That was the year all the “apathy” talk happened.

yep, i'm done... been done: do something worthy to get me bakc, and i'll be back... who konws if that's even possible in the modern landscape that is pay to play

this is an ignorant straw man agument, latent luxury belief, typical of all leftist arguments. (they can never contend the issues on the facts)

For it to be an apt analogy, his neighbor would be doing something serious, like holding a group of people hostage or launderring the neighborhood's wages in an HOA scheme... soemthing.

By 1-26th we had ten losses in the 2020-2021 season. 6 games left for Pope to beat that!
I think the 10th may come at Arkansas. 🤮

Although they’ve show us to this point they can’t even really compete against good teams. They have been able to beat “ok” teams. So maybe they only have 6 or 7 losses by Arkansas and who knows, maybe something clicks for them.

My last shred of hope is the infamous “January slump” from the Joe B days. It always coincided with our first 2 game road trip through the SEC. So, losing AT bama was ugly but maybe going forward will be better. I hope. 🥺

Imo- at worst 2 more weeks of ups and downs before settling in to who we are as a team. At best 2 more games.

I'm hoping for the under, but football isn't over, so I won't watch much until then.

- Leftists reaping the rewards of capitalism who insist “real communism has never been tried.”

- the cartel-backed Presidents of Colombia and Mexico
.
- White liberal women who need an excuse to complain.

- People who wanted Maduro out for years, but can’t stand that Trump was the one who got it done.

- Candace Owens, Thomas Massie, and Marjorie Taylor Greene, because somehow it’s a Jewish conspiracy.

Democrats don't want the flow of drugs to be stopped because they're taking a cut from the cartels. Change my mind.

But now you’ve got a coach who is more devoted to god and jeebus than anyone in this thread. A shining example of a family man without a hint of problems who actually lives his faith, unlike the vast majority of self professed “Christians.”
So what is it you want?

Very well put. A good read.

"While we ostensibly captured Maduro based on legitimate, outstanding US drug charges from 2020, the real reason for the military operations early this morning is that neutralizing Maduro's Venezuela had become a strategic imperative for the USA.

Under Maduro, Venezuela had become the Latin American crossroads for all of the USA's principal enemies. Maduro was nurturing relationships with Russia, Hezbollah and Iran. Worst of all, Venezuela was eagerly becoming a part of Red China's Belt & Road initiative.

As America's enemies were lining up Venezuela as their base of operations in the Western Hemisphere to cause mischief and destruction for the USA, Maduro was at the same time making Venezuela a crossroads, safe haven and enabler for all manner of narcoterrorist operations, ranging from Colombia's FARC to Mexico's Sinaloa cartel.

On top of all that, Venezuela had become a key player in the illegal alien invasion of the USA, shipping its very worst to the USA in a deliberate and comprehensive destabilizing operation that might have worked had Donald Trump not won in 2024.

Next in importance: oil. The global and regional ambitions of both China and Russia are in large part dependent on the politics of petroleum, and the USA just deprived both of the cudgel afforded by friendly Venezuelan oil. Trump opponents say "It's about oil" as if that was a bad thing. Yeah, it's about oil.

Finally, all of this was in keeping with the most essential and fundamental foreign policy mandate of the USA almost since the nation's inception: the Monroe Doctrine. Operations like what Maduro was running simply cannot be allowed in the Western Hemisphere. Trump was right for falling back on this most basic of doctrines that protects the USA's sovereignty.

So was Maduro seized because of some five year-old drug charges? Yes. Legally--yes. However, like so many strategic issues in the world today, an action needed to be backed by the fine points of law, and it was. But the reality is that the Maduro takedown was a Monroe Doctrine-driven necessity that has greatly enhanced the power and national security of the USA.

Congratulations, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth and the rest of the Trump national security team: you boldly took the steps necessary to defend the USA. Well done."

All true. However, again, the biggest deal out of all of this is the corrupt voting machines. They originated straight out of Venezuela.

Is it not enough that you jam up the thread with 200 tweets a day from your media puppet masters - you actually post the tweet and repeat it below in the same post?

I'm still marveling at this thread's lack of backbone and awareness. Studies should be done about it. For years, folks said they wanted the US to stop playing world police and that he wouldn't bomb random countries; that he was different. Trump's not a neocon obsessed with bombs and regime changes. Well now we're responsible for another regime change. I'm sure this will go swimmingly as all the others have gone. McCain would be proud! I'm sure Bolton is happy too. And none of you actually care about Venezuelans either lol. This thread spent years yelling "screw the world for not loving Donald like we love him" and now you're going to pretend you care about Venezuelans...

So what's next? Regime change (which I'm certain will go smooth) in a place none of you care about and then what, steal Greenland? After that, invade Mexico and take on that responsibility? You know he's not stopping at Venezuela and his supporters are already trolling Greenland that it's next. If I told you a few years ago this thread would be cheerleading bombs dropped and forced regime changes as Trump declares Venezuela our responsibility, man lol.

National polling will be interesting this year regarding all of this. Americans want tariffs ended, inflation down, and more control at the border. That was it. No one was pining for Trump to play military big boy and make us responsible for regime changes. Spin that all you like but it's true.
Hey dumbazz, it was NOT a regime change. Maduro was NOT the elected leader of Venezuela, you MSM gobbling buffoon!
