It is plain and simple tribalism as I mentioned in my post last night. Expecting them to arrive at the same conclusion that it was justified based on the video evidence, is akin to asking a lifelong UK fan to root for Duke. They are not capable of doing that anymore.
I'm convinced that the effect of tribalism in politics started to be magnified by Obama and has gone off the charts when Trump won his 2nd term. The fact of Biden winning (highly debatable) in between Trumps 1st and 2nd terms has only made matters worse. Today's progressive left are completely overcome by TDS (another word for tribalism), so much so, that they can watch a video that any objective person can see justifies the actions of the ICE officer and think it was murder.

Nails the EXACT reason why they started teachers out with such low pay but then give them crazy benefits as they stay on. The good will leave for better work where they are more respected and safe. The bad will stay because they know they can't be hired to do anything else. God bless the good ones that stay on as long as they can and try to make the system better, though those are fewer and far between as time goes on.

Not legally. DHS policy specifically states officers cannot stand in front of vehicles to block them for exactly this reason. Any attempt to escape can then be construed as an attack. If an officer can move out from in front of a vehicle but chooses not to, or intentionally moves in front of a vehicle as this officer did, then blame then shifts to them. They have explicit policy covering this exact scenario because it has happened repeatedly.
That’s probably the best video yet for showing how much in danger the officer was. She accelerated very quickly, possibly floored it, knowing and seeing that he was right in front of her.

There is not much jumping once you've already been hit and pushed by the vehicle, either.

Now her children are without a mother, at the hands of the person that put her in a position to get herself killed. What comes with that trauma will be the playground of the leftists as it always is.
