is what he should have said. If Big Ten and other northern/northeastern schools had SEC type programs, baseball would be viewed much differently.

If there was money in it, the NCAA would treat it better.

All but everybody ignores college baseball. The Dallas Morning News is one of the biggest newspapers in America, and there is never a lick of college baseball in there. Maybe during the college world series, but that's it.

is Title IX. Polk's right. It's not fair and it's a ridiculous system. But it's never going to change. He should have put more effort into doing his damn job at MSU instead of being a modern Don Quixote.

So you're saying it doesn't make money? So you're telling me girls basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc. make money? Hell no it don't, they probably can't even pay the damn power bill. I think he has a valid point personally. There's some agenda there...but yes I do realize outside of the sec, acc, and some big 12 schools it's not a big money generator. So when you say its bc the big 10 don't have good baseball programs I think you may be right and that's another issue. Who gives a **** about the big 10

Baseball can skim the best players right from high school into the league. Most of the best talent never makes it to the college ranks.
