Possibly if the season pass was reasonable.

$5 per game is reasonable, but it should be included with either season tickets or for some level of Bulldog Club contribution.

I remember asking Scott Stricklin about it just after Ole Miss signed the CSPIRE deal. Scott said he was not interested unless the Athletic Department could monetize it because Ole Miss was not making any revenue from it - they just allowed CSPIRE to do it.

I've never had a problem texting during games, but I do usually have problems just getting scores from other games on my phone, or Twitter to load.

However, no way in hell I'm paying for Wifi when I'm already paying big bucks for season tickets, Bulldog Club, etc. The sites will eventually load.

Here's a midthread hijack - why not more USBC jacks in the phone charging stations?

I shouldn't have to purchase it here when other stadiums have it for free. That'd be the most Mississippi State thing ever.
Exactly. Why should the fans foot the bill for something that comes standard everywhere else on the planet?

If you’re willing to pay for all that, 5 bucks seems like an easy decision to me

I personally don't care to update my life constantly for the interwebs to see, but my 16 yo was irritated she couldn't get the fan cam QR code to connect. I did get multiple texts during game from friends cheering for us asking how the atmosphere was live. Took forever for vids and pics from the game to send back to them. So that was annoying. So would I pay NO should they do something about it? Maybe, how about put 100 million terabyte WiFi routers on top of the new fancy lights? But I'm not computer engineer!

I have service in the stadium. But if I didn't im there for the game. Ridiculous to pay for wifi anyway. Sit in the Dollar General parking lot and sign in to their free wifi. Or McDonalds. I'm not doing a podcast from the stands. C'mon man.

No If a person can't go 3 hours without a cell phone, they are an addict! Oh, I am older but I have Wi-Fi in my cars and 2 systems at my house. One internet for me and one for guests when they come.

Like a flight.
I voted yes but depends on the cost and how good it is

for the same cost as a flight and the dependability? ABSOLUTELY NOT

$6.99 and it works good for entire game?

yes

I bet
And I text
And I like to call people out on Sixpack

Might be a good marketing opportunity for CSPIRE

Cspire sets up really good WiFi in stadium
If you have cspire it’s free
If you don’t it’s $7.99 for game or $39.99 for season

Already spending more than I want. Tickets, parking, and concessions. I’m used to my phone being a brick during the games I get to attend. I’ll live with it.

No. I have Verizon and I’ve never had an issue with service. I can usually even stream other games if I want to.

After further thought, I would pay up to $100 for a seasonlong wifi pass, but only if it always worked, wasn't a hassle at all to log in, and all of the money went straight into the NIL pool.

Can they guarantee #1 and #2?

Nope. While I'm at the game, I watch the game. The only other thing I'd get on my phone for is to take photos and text.

I’m already paying to have it w/my phone service, why double pay? I pay for the ticket to the game as well, that money has to go towards something. If I’m committed to paying and coming, leaving the comforts and amenities from my home where I already have cell service, why shouldn’t that be provided in the price of the game ticket. It’s a no for me. Who likes double paying for anything?

We really have people that will pay $8 for a Diet Coke but not $10 for wifi. Amazing.
I know that this really isn’t your point, but if MSU really did partner with someone to offer pay to use WiFI, I guaran-damn-tee that it wouldn’t be $5-10. Think of the most ridiculous number that you can and then double it. That’s what they’d charge

I do agree it should be expected but if my option was to not have it - I'd pay the $5.
Auburn and Verizon upgraded J-H a few years ago. It would cost us some money, but it should be on Selmon's list to address sooner rather than later. (If you don't click the link, Auburn paid $6 mil and Verizon paid $4 mil.)

Well, I was at the game the other night with one of my kids but two of the others were spending the night at friends' houses. I like to be able to stay in touch with them. My niece was in the hospital having a baby, so I would have preferred to have solid service for updates. I also have a text group commenting on the game, which I would be willing to pay $5 to stay involved in so we can bittch about the game in real time. Those are just examples from this past Saturday.

Just saying, other than SPS I am not on social media and I'm not addicted to my phone just because in 2025 I want to enjoy current technology at my leisure.
