"It won't affect my decision," said Pollard. "It wasn't just (Stansbury)
that had me deciding on Mississippi State. It was basically the whole
coaching staff as a group."

<span style="font-style: italic;">Does he think we are keeping all the assistant coaches around? Maybe if we hire Kirby or Cunningham(don't see that at all.)</span>

Thomas, who led Jim Hill to the Class 6A state title, says he was
looking forward to playing for Stansbury, who spent 14 seasons as MSU's
head coach.</p>

"I just really liked the way he coached his players and let them play," said Thomas.</p>

When
asked who he'd like to see as a replacement, Ware mentioned former MSU
assistant Robert Kirby, now an assistant at Georgetown.</p>

Thomas and
Ware are two of five signees who make up what turned out to be
Stansbury's final recruiting class. They are joined by Josh Gray and
P.J. Hardwick, teammates from Christian Life Center Academy in Houston,
Texas, and Craig Sword of Carver, Ala..</p>

Who replaces Stansbury could very well determine if Pollard joins those five.</p>

"That'll be one of the major things," said Jessie Pollard. "Who's coming next?"</p><p style="font-weight: bold;">Let's hope we can get Pollard and keep the others around..</p>
