I don't understand what the hell has happened here...........some type of family dispute over land or something.

What an absolutely insane story so far.
His mom purchased multiple burner phones from Walmart, had 2 other women involved, they held an innocent and I can only imagine seriously frightened girl overnight, and let her go on the side of a rural road in the rain.
What the F needs to happen for this to go down?!?!
Whatever the reason(s), however justified they feel in taking that course of action, its messed the 17 up. Thats a 6yo they took.

A few more details. The dispute is between Mama Pollard and a younger relative who is the mother of the 6 y.o. The relative reportedly paid the unpaid taxes owed on Mama Pollard's property in Kemper County. We are left to assume that Mama Pollard believed she had lost the property to the relative via the tax sale. Mama Pollard felt she had been wronged by the relative and made demand that the relative address the wrong. The relative invited Mama Pollard to kindly go 17 herself. Mama Pollard went full Nigerian, cooking up the kidnapping, the walmarts phone threats, and the untimely retreat.

So he is being charged with loaning his car to his momma..
Unless they can prove he had prior knowledge to the kidnapping then he did nothing wrong.
