I sure hope 7A looks like that. It looked to me like GW, GBN, Cary, PC would all be 7A but who knows.

I h-a-t-e calling 17 year old kids over rated, so I do not mean to disparage. Newt says it better. My main intent was calling out MC's path and Auburn being under rated. But Libertyville is a head scratch at 2

Man 8A is freakin loaded with GBW and GBN in there as they are normally 7A teams. If you could just put MC and MCHS in 8A then whoever wins the 8A title this year can truly be crowned the best in the state. What a gauntlet quarterfinals and on will be wow!

Laurence should have lost to Rich Central on purpose last year round 1 they could have been 5A still.

If GW and GN end up in 8A, the only way the 8A winner isn't#1 overall is if MC goes 14-0 and Loyola wins 8A

I like East St Louis's schedule, and if they can get it, and keep it, together this season they should be fun to watch. Anyone know anything about Edwardsville this season?

I guess we find out whether GW is over rated in week 1. Brook may prove to be underrated.

Even if GBW loses in week 1 it won't mean they are overrated. They'll get better as the season goes on. They just need to be ready by the playoffs, which they will be. I would love to see a GBW vs LA playoff game.

BR plays 7 of their 9 games against teams ranked in Edgy's 6A thru 8A.

That's a death march. Health is a huge issue every year in the CCL Blue for any playoff run. This seems especially difficult. Need a great year from the QB.

They may break a record in playoff points this year. Do I hear over 60?

I think rating L'ville at 2 is just showing respect for the program and what they did last year. We'll see.

Wheaton South should be much improved this year, but they will be fortunate to finish 5-4 IMO. Glenbard North, Waubonsie, Neuqua, and two-time defending state champion Orchard Lake St. Mary, Mi will be tough to beat. WN and NN will be better this year, and never count out NC (defending DVC champ). Is 5-4 in the DVC good enough to get ranked 7th in the state? Brutal schedule.

Edwardsville is Edwardville they are gonna do good this year . The big kid Espensa will also be a rb this year should be fun to watch a 6' 5" 260 running back the year has some strenth and quickness
