Polo and Jacket

This isn't a shot specifically at Coach Ray but it definitely applies, am I the only one it bugs that our coaches go to all these functions, many of which are obvious photo-ops and do the polo shirt and jacket deal?<div>
</div><div>I mean come on, these guys are millionaires (well Ray and Mullen) who are basically CEOs of multi-million dollar producing branches (teams) of a 80 or so million dollar machine (the Athletic Department). The picture of the football coaches is a good example of how we don't look the part of a champion. I'm not saying wear a pimp suit to go recruiting in but how about wearing the same thing you wear on the sideline during a game to a big time meet and greet.</div><div>
</div><div>I'll add in that I think Mullen has dressed the part at previous meetings but at this last one he, Bucky, Chizik, and Muschamp stood out as what I'll call overly casual. I just want us to look more like Saben, Miles and Petrino than Bucky and Chizik.</div>

But I do think it's smart for a coach at MSU to sort of dress appropriately depending on who he's meeting with.

I mean, if he's meeting with a group of people who make 1/20th of his salary and dig in between the couch cushions to find $100 to donate to the BDC, it's probaby not smart to roll up in a $1,000 suit & t. Now if he's meeting with the high dollar donors who have buildings on campus named after them, I'd guess he'd want to dress in his Sunday best.

Maybe when meeting with a mixed crowd coaches split it down the middle- jacket & polo.
