Does anyone find it amusing that the 30 for 30 series about the SMU comes on immediately after the Heisman presentation?

Trans AM / Camaro (can't remember now - not like the vette's the BAMA boys got) that he told the NCAA his grand ma bought for him. Must be nice to be busted and come up with a new car out of the air. They never got him on it... I'm waiting for the 30 ty show to come on but I think it is about a couple years after the pony express.....

Dickerson said that the NCAA grilled him for a month about that car and never found anything. He said his Grandma had the money to buy it for him...

They both said that what got SMU nailed was after both were gone. Also said that the NCAA wanted to test out the death penalty on a small school to see how it would work, rather than a big boy. They saw how devastating it was and didn't try it again.

I've got the DVR set, for sure.

the abc affiliate broke the story and the dallas morning news had some great investigative reporting on it. there were several storiedthat Texas A M bought Dickerson a car thinking they had him and he gave that car to his mother cause SMU had bought him a car and he signed, A&M was pissed but they couldnt say anything.
Also Hansen said they had A&M nailed on payments to thier qb, I think Foggy was his name but the reporter misrepresented why he was talking to Foggy and they couldnt run the story. Life in the Southwest conference at the time
