Down to 5 teams, they are adding Liberty, Jacksonville State, New Mexico State and Sam Houston State in 2023 and now the MAC is thinking about raiding them for Middle Tennessee State and Western Kentucky, which would again knock them down below the minimum-required FBS conference size of 8 teams.
Where does all of this madness stop?

It stops when there are 30-50 top tier football programs. Another 30-50 mid tier programs and then a bunch of irrelevants that might as well be division 2/FCS schools.

With those additions to CUSA, the Sun Belt Conference is a much better conference. CUSA will be the weakest of the G5's. If the MAC raids them then would Marshall ask to come back? If not maybe then Marshall will be the front runner in CUSA year after year? Uh, nope. That would be FlAtl.

Florida Atlantic joined the American two weeks ago, and Marshall joined the Sun Belt last week.

Well the WAC is still planning to transition to FBS in the near future, so they would be the weakest of the GOSix

This year with an agreement with the Atlantic Sun conference, but it has been reported that they want to get to FBS by the end of the decade. MONEY
