If you look at his totals he almost never shot 3’s, so that percentage is misleading. Pope is reaching out to a lot of 3-point shooters from what some are saying, though.
Only shot 3 3s. 1-3 on the year. So basically just doesn’t shoot them. Still seems like a nice player defensively and low post game.
If he is a center, he's not supposed to shoot 3's. He is supposed to score inside, block shots and rebound
It’s probably too late for that for this season unless we keep some of our recruits. But that’s ok, year one was going to be a rebuild after Drew said no anyways. Let’s just be good this year and build for greatness after that

Love a guy who finds a multitude of ways to make an impact. It’s like Davis (not saying the guy is Davis) completely changing a game while only scoring 5 points.

Shoots the 3 better than bradshaw and a hell of a lot stronger
What I like about this player is he's a banger, holds his grounds. Calipari's 6'10" guys get banged by 5'9" 150 lb PGs and end up in the third row.
This is a big time portal target. These are the types of players the teams that are doing well in the postseason get.
Rankings werent winning games. Coaching and players win games. We will have those under pope. Im so happy to have a coach who gets it.

I'm fine with seeing some of these guys as role players/depth but we need something more. We have 5/6 mil per year in nil. Top 20 portal guys can't be the top targets
This guy is an absolute stud. He's terrific defensively. He rebounds. He scores. He can even shoot a bit from deep with a respectable percentage. He is also a great passer. He is crazy efficient. He does in 22.9 minutes a game more than most starting bigs who play 30+ minutes per game.
Also, watching this guy play, it shows you just how out of their element these young hotshots Cal tried to bring in every year really are. This guy is a grown *** man. You try to send an untested, skinny freshman like Bradshaw into the game to match-up with a guy like this, he's just going to mug you and take your lunch money.

This guy isn't a role player. He's a starting 5 wherever he goes. And I hope that is here.
These are the type of centers that UK has been missing, the kids we had last year were beanpoles . Maybe this is why the kid from BYU is looking at UL ? I think Pope is going to get some very good players out of the portal.

I don't think this is true. We obviously won't pull in 4-5 every class like we were but I do think we should be getting 1 sometimes that fits the offense. But yes mainly 4 stars.
Pope will sell KY to any byu player. It's just the beginning folks. He is loyal. It's all about team Kentucky from this day and on.
You have former 5 star recruits transferring after one or two years nowadays, you could pick one up that way.

I’m excited to see if Pope can out recruit Scheyer and Pitino for this kid. Would be a big win.
