Mitch won't fire him that's the problem
Him running stuff through Moreno and Garrison resulting in turnovers highlights his complete incompetence. The last timeout he doubled down. He honestly should be fired tonight. I 100% know he won’t but should be.

You guys wanted Cal gone. I use to love playing above the rim instead of playing soft. Im done for the rest of the year. This is my least favorite team of all time in Kentucky history.
He is a poor evaluator of talent. He cannot adapt as a coach either. Needs to be relegated to high school. He failed the assignment miserably.

His inability to adjust, to run a different offensive set or hell any set at all and his lack of ability to even draw up an out of bounds play is baffling. If he can’t do any of that you have to ask yourself what can he do?

Then the last possession we call a timeout only to inbound to Lowe and get off a contested three with zero picks, passes or anything? Why even call a timeout if you aren’t capable of running a play? Every team we play runs plays after timeouts to perfection on us and we literally never do it. Basic basketball 101 and Pope doesn’t seem to understand it.

I don't think it was. Sometimes Lowe forgets all about the other guys and plays hero ball, and he's unable to shoot from 3 because his shoulder is not functioning properly.

Pope is a good man with a great fsmily . Not the greatest coach thats certain but hes won at life. He needs to save his family from whats coming n just resign now. This isnt uk basketball he knows this he knows he doesnt have it. Stepping down now best for all sides . Gives us more time to prepare coaching sear h than him leaving end of year .

Why u acting like cal was any better? The dude won 9 fn games in an entire season. Mark poop has more post season wins in his first season than cal had his past 5 here.
Pope needs to make his fu ckin mind up on what he wants to do. He brought in the most mis match bunch possible with mis match personalities. You can’t go sign 15 role players and not make your mind up on who to play or how you want to play.

Pope seems like a totally different coach from last year, even the offense is different. There's no cutting, screening, or movement. It looks very close to Cal's offense except there's no crazy talented players to go one on one like Cal had.

Yeah, and he caused Oweh to miss that layup and Williams to miss his last two wide open threes. We just do not have good players and Pope is in over his head. He will get a third year probably.
Yeah, this was a must win game. Tonight showed Pope lack of coaching.
They run harder off the floor than they do in the game. We needed a 3 and that was the best shot we could get?

I am a sunshine pumper, but this has become a black hole of disappointment.
I would seriously consider taking any other coach in all of the power conferences over Pope right now. That’s how miffed I currently am over this loss. This is beyond inept.
