Yeah this sucks so bad Pope definitely aint it. He doesn't command the respect from these players. He needs a bunch of a certain type of player and those types of players only get you so far. He does not have that edge that is needed.

You know what I don't want to hear in the post game? I don't want to hear how freaking beautiful these kids are, or how beautiful the game was, or how we need to figure out this space. Just please, for the love of all that is wholly, don't freaking say that ******** right now.

His offense with this team gets you spanked by UL and MSU. His adjusted offense taking less 3's gets you beat at home to a crap UNC team. He has no answers for the players he recruited here.

Pope couldn't afford to lose his 2nd season only 8 games in, but that's just what he did. With our upcoming schedule, the season is effectively over at this point. After Cal, all coaches have a short leash - time for UK to start coach shopping.

I hate to say it, but pope needed about 5 yrs somewhere else before coming here. I know he works hard and wants to will it to happen but this is bad. He picked guys that are soft and cannot shoot, athletes yes but gotta have basketball players out there with them. Chandler has brought it all season, Aberdeen tries but again he’s just an athlete. We may be looking at an 8 seed come ncaa time, but I can’t get over how we don’t block out and get killed on the boards.

Pope's offense is fine. It's not being ran very well by these players. And I'm sure he's trying to fix that.
Well he brought a group of players that cannot dribble, cannot create their own shot, cannot shoot and have little to no heart. Pope thinks 10 guys like him is what is needed but he forgot he had some damn good players around him on that 96 team.

Based on his lack of signings for next year I’d say as fans it is time to be very concerned.

Pope is in over his head. I’ve seen enough. It’s his dream job, but he isn’t up for it.
Yeah man. I hate saying it, but he’s lost. I just don’t think he has the ability right now. Maybe he could get there with more experience, but I doubt it. It’s just not in there; that specific trait you need to be a coach at a place like Kentucky. Of course, if he stays too long, he’ll likely reduce us to a program he can handle. That’s what is at risk.

Pope, if you want to keep your job you better throw Quaintence. Lowe and Mo out there! We need tough players not sissies. Quaintence is the only legit excuse. The other 2 plays or out the door.

Should've let Will Stein draw up some plays. Would've worked better.

A real shame we put on a horsesh*t performance with Stein's homecoming and introduction.
Stein is the same as pope. A guy from out west. No real resume to run our program, no sec connections, recruiting will be tough etc.

Hey now, I was sad before, and now you've made sense and left me less optimistic about football.

Everyone is saying this is a homerun hire. Wait, Pitino said the same thing about Pope. fml
