Pope is perect for UK.

He's going to be here a MINIMUM of 3 years. There is ZERO chance of him stepping down or getting fired. Get behind him or bite your lip and show some class as he's one of ours and is just getting started. He needs the right guys and has shown over and over and over that he can coach. No freaking point guard !!

No thanks. All this shows is how bad Cal is. Beating Cal feels great but Pope still isn’t the guy for UK. He wouldn’t win a title here if he had 30 years.
Funny thing, before the game, everybody was talking about how Arkansas had one of the best offenses in the country and maybe the best point guard in the country.

I have believed all along that he just misjudged the players he picked this year and should get a 3rd year. Now if next years team ends up like this years, then he shouldn't get a 4th year.
At least you’re not unreasonable about keeping him too long if things hold up in the same direction

Nice Try, You can see my "Cal sucks" posts from July untl now. Glad your weekend has been ruined.
Yeah you flipped AFTER he was gone, you were pro cal right up until he left in April 2024, nice try for you though cold stout. My weekend isn’t ruined at all, I love when Uk wins and isn’t getting blown out, especially against cal

What makes you think that? Genuinely curious.

Winning the games we did last year despite the injuries and team being put together in a few weeks, same thing as this year. Pope has shown that he can coach and make adjustments at a high level, once he learns how to motivate his teams and be demanding of his players, it’s over. He’s learning and it’s coming soon!

I hope you are right, I really do. But if we go on to lose by 20 next game, I won't be surprised. Extremely happy with tonight though. I hope he proves me wrong.

You are basing that on what exactly? His incoming recruits and transfers?
It would seem that you don't want Pope to succeed..........If he were to do good then you would be wrong......any fool should be able to see that the top three guys on the team are out.........but by god you demand perfection........people like you, with this attitude, is the reason I don't get on here very often............

We are one game removed from getting our *** handed to us by a team that had lost 3 of 4. Even though I thought we would lose by a gazillion tonight, watching us beat a cal coached team wasn’t surprising as I have watched many cal coached teams lose games they had no business losing. Happy for the team and mark to get the win but we have to start seeing some consistency in this level of play before we can say mark is the man. We haven’t seen that yet or even close.

Oh good Lord, give the bs a rest.
We've only had 1 of those 3 guys all season anyway. And who decided after having a pg with an injured shoulder last season, that we didn't need a back up pg this season?
Hint, it wasn't me. I don't demand perfection. But as a fan I do demand constant effort. I'm just not seeing that under Pope to this point. And that is a reflection of his leadership.

Cry about the win some more. You are making yourself look awful. Just awful. Smiling as I leave. 😆
Yeah, I'm crying about the win. What? You're beating your chest after disappearing after the Vandy game. Yet, if we win. You roll back in and post your goofy gifs and say Pope is the man. Never had any doubt he was the man for us. Same tired BS you did with Calipari. Who could forget classics such as "Calipari beat Oats with 2 pointers". "So much for that modern offense". Until Pope was hired then that modern offense was genius.

KY fans are weird. Lose by a million to Vandy. Not ranked. No juice. Recruiting is a mystery. Yet because they beat Cal you think Pope is suddenly primed to return them to glory.

really good win. Not sure it’s anything else. Don’t let Cal be the bar for how UK views its program.
