Will be very important who he adds to his staff. I really don't want an all former UK player staff just so we can get the band back together. He apparently needs a defensive guy. Kenpom AdjD was ranked 60th last year.

Sounds like Tyler isn't part of the staff at Arkansas.
If Tyler wants to get into coaching, he realistically should stay at UK and learn under Pope for a year.

He played for Cal. He’s been on Cal’s staff for 2. He already knows how to do it the Cal Way. You need to diversify your resume and be a student of the game and learn multiple styles and systems. See how other successful ppl structure their practices etc. and then you take the good from all your experiences and start figuring out your personally style/strategy.

From what I’ve seen I really like the crew he had at BYU. Especially Nathan Bubes The analytics coach who I think he poached from LA Lakers. His coaching team believes in his strategy. Like I’ve said before Pope doesn’t just roll the ball out and play the game. They work hard to make up for the weaknesses that they had by being smart. But that just my opinion and people don’t have to believe me or not.

My take says Scott Padgett and Cody Fueger will soon join Pope's staff. Don't know who else, but I would like to see Tony Delk back at Kentucky in some capacity.
