Sounds like we will have a good amount of transfers. Most of us, I think, will be fine with that.
MM, Hawthorne, and Chandler are the only ones the staff seems to be prioritizing.

Does anyone have strong feelings on players they would like to see added? Whether they are currently in the portal or not.

Isaiah Johnson from Colorado and Leroy Blyden from Toledo are two PGs I like that are in the portal. Nasir Whitlock from Lehigh is a big-time scorer from the PG position too. Might be size and defensive concerns with all three, but they can put it in the hoop.
If all those guys came here, you would have 3/4 of the people on this board griping constantly that they were not McDonald's All-Americans, and we are Kentucky and we could do better. You know the same ones that only want to blame everything on Pope and want him fired.

I used to want him, until I saw him play against somebody besides Kentucky. He is Shaq-to Cyril against us for some reason.
Maybe UK brings him good energy and he would play well for Kentucky. Add that with Popes positivity and you get domination lol

We definitely need two starting type point guards on this team next season or it’s just a repeat. Don’t know who’ll they be but we need two

No. We lost 14
Games this season after the last six years of craping the bed. Got blown out in front of the world in the only game that mattered all year. I believe fans had a right to call it out this season. Besides the obvious trolling bitchhhs that come here occasionally, the fans that are here love Kentucky Basketball more that almost anything else in the world. It’s not up to par the last few years and this is a Kentucky message board that sole purpose is to discuss Kentucky basketball. We need some great players and coaches here, if not, someone isn’t doing their job. It’s not like we didn’t just pay 22 million dollars for some players who only came here for the money and a coach who clapped and gave them a Pat on the back for not caring. Somethings not right. Been a fan since the day I was born, 51 years watching us being a great program, what I’ve saw the last five or six years isn’t on par. Appreciate your perspective and understand why you would say it, but true Kentucky fans just want the best for Kentucky basketball and we spend a fortune to have that. Thanks and I hope I wasn’t too harsh about it.

How is their quickness?
Speed, quickness and shooting can overcome lack of size at the pg spot

I want guys with real potential. I watched many smaller school players in the tourney who could be great players anywhere. I want pieces that fit together and fit Popes offense. I also want assistants who can recruit big time players and teach defense.

I just always loved his freak body to go along with his bad attitude. What I look for in a center. Maybe not NBA but definitely college
I agree with you in wanting a very physical option at Center. I happen to think Moreno will be physical, but I'd like to see a backup with a lot of strength and athleticism. You'd think Garrison could be that with his body and athleticism, but I really haven't felt like he provides enough of what I'm referring to.

I like Stefan Vaaks too. There's questions about his defense and he might be a chucker but he can put up numbers. After this year I'd like to load up on guys that can shoot and create for themselves.

Dang. I know thes highlights can make a player look better but he’s looking like Luka out here. Haha. 😆. Yes please pope.

Moreno has been getting dunked on since highschool. He is a good basketball player. He will never be that mean play angry player. He just isn't. He has skill tho. He's a solid option. I don't think he has a ability problem just a mentality problem.

I watched Moreno in high school. I thought he might be slow to close the gap for blocks some, but I never felt - and still don't - that he avoided contact, wasn't physical, etc. He has skills, but I'd like to see him develop more tough post-up scoring, which might be part of what you're referring to as well.

Hoping Moreno IS the backup. We need a stud center. Moreno plays with no emotion.

I think he’s a tad out of shape trim some fat off him and I think he gains that half step where he is slow plus he was a freshman adjusting to the speed of the game but he can shoot all levels and off the dribble
