You can put on 15 pounds of muscle but it's hard to change someone's personality at his age.I haven't given up on him being a quality starter. Just need to see him put on 15 pounds of muscle and play with more passion.

Well he'll fit right in under Pope then. We play very soft defense and must teach our defenders to run away from the shooters because I've never seen it happen as many times as I did this year. And Collin Chandler was the worst at that.Neither plays defense

So what’s you pointWell he'll fit right in under Pope then. We play very soft defense and must teach our defenders to run away from the shooters because I've never seen it happen as many times as I did this year. And Collin Chandler was the worst at that.
He's right though.No. We lost 14
Games this season after the last six years of craping the bed. Got blown out in front of the world in the only game that mattered all year. I believe fans had a right to call it out this season. Besides the obvious trolling bitchhhs that come here occasionally, the fans that are here love Kentucky Basketball more that almost anything else in the world. It’s not up to par the last few years and this is a Kentucky message board that sole purpose is to discuss Kentucky basketball. We need some great players and coaches here, if not, someone isn’t doing their job. It’s not like we didn’t just pay 22 million dollars for some players who only came here for the money and a coach who clapped and gave them a Pat on the back for not caring. Somethings not right. Been a fan since the day I was born, 51 years watching us being a great program, what I’ve saw the last five or six years isn’t on par. Appreciate your perspective and understand why you would say it, but true Kentucky fans just want the best for Kentucky basketball and we spend a fortune to have that. Thanks and I hope I wasn’t too harsh about it.
I like Stefan Vaaks too. There's questions about his defense and he might be a chucker but he can put up numbers. After this year I'd like to load up on guys that can shoot and create for themselves.
The point is, we don't play defense anyway, so take him.So what’s you point
As bad as we were, we still rank 28th, which is better than Illinois, Iowa and Purdue. The point is, we don't play defense anyway, so take him.
We will be in the same shape next year so go for it huhThe point is, we don't play defense anyway, so take him.
Terrence Hill Jr can do bothI'd rather get a guy that can score/create than be a shut-down defender. The likelihood of finding a PG in the portal without a weakness is remote. Those guys are in the NBA.
Anybody doing that should get fired immediately he’s not itBack a Brinks truck up and give it to Isaiah Johnson. The PG we need. Should be #1 priority!
Center must also rebound and block shotsWe need an offensive minded center who can back his man down and consistently knock down his 5 footer and who can shoot free throws. Because your shooters are guaranteed to have off nights. If he can shoot an occasional 3 that would be a bonus.
I really like his game.Terrence Hill Jr can do both
Every team left are juggernauts at defense. Illinois was bad at the first of the season, they aren't right nowWe definitely should prioritize offense, that seems to be what is winning these games. Houston had an elite defense, but they're at home, because they couldn't score the ball against Illinois, who really doesn't have a good defense.
But, if you want to win it all, you need to be top 10-15 in both.
It starts with getting a dynamic pg that can defend and you want that guy to have a refuse-to-lose mentality.
They jumped up to 20th after last nights game, before that, they were 36th and before the tournament, they were in the 40's.Every team left are juggernauts at defense. Illinois was bad at the first of the season, they aren't right now
He plays for UGA not Houston lolDo you really think that he is a starter at Houston, and going to come here and be a backup ? I don't think so
Would love to have him. However, I think he’s another guy that’s a local kid to MSU. Kinda like Tanner at Vandy.Hoping Hubbard at miss state jumps in the portal, would be great at uk.. no sense in staying at miss state
Who is? So u wouldn't take the FOTY in the big 12 whose Dad trains NBA players?Anybody doing that should get fired immediately he’s not it
We needed that with Lowe here. With Lowe gone, we need a PG who can create and guard.
Are you a scout? Tell us about this guy.Anybody doing that should get fired immediately he’s not it
He might be… but he gave them 3 years and went no where… hopefully he realizes that he can do more here, would be a great fitWould love to have him. However, I think he’s another guy that’s a local kid to MSU. Kinda like Tanner at Vandy.
Are you a scout? Tell us about this
I’ve evaluated talent. He’s a High volume shooter, but can score it and shoots it well, knack on him he’s poor defensively that could be due to his small size and weight it allows him to get knocked off the ball. I’m just referring to your not paying a brinks load of money to someone who can’t even guard in the Big 12. He needs to add muscle so he can be more physical. There should be better PG enter the portal
Didn’t say I wouldn’t take him I’m just saying you’re not over paying for someone who can’t guard. You are not paying the big money to someone that can’t even guard, you pay for the one who can defend then score be nice to have both. Thats going to cost you 3 million easily for top notch i would consider eliteWho is? So u wouldn't take the FOTY in the big 12 whose Dad trains NBA players?
How is their quickness?
Speed, quickness and shooting can overcome lack of size at the pg spot

I feel the same way about Moreno. We need much better talent at Center.I think Cyril would be ok as a backup Center, but not starter.
is a scorer like I stated but he CANT defendI haven't watched Johnson play, but he must have pretty good quickness b/c he shoots (and makes) quite a few FTs...even against some of the good competition
Against:
Ariz: 10/11
Texas Tech: 13/13
Iowa St: 8/9
He is definitely a scorer (averaged 17.6 ppg over his last 10 games), but he isn't afraid to pass, either. Over his last 10 games, he only had less than 4 assists twice, and he had a max of 3 TOs in 3 of those 10 games. Plus, he averaged 3 rebs/game, which isn't bad considering his size at 6'1 170
Good lord man do some research on players not just overall stats he’s terrible in everything worse than MorenoBangot Dak from Colorado would be an interesting center to have.
Actually that post got me thinking, Somto is basically just like Tugler at Houston. Probably even better.Georgia my friend.
No doubt, he could be a multi year guy who leads to a lot of great years in a row. If he continues to improve like Tugler did and stays at one spot.Actually that post got me thinking, Somto is basically just like Tugler at Houston. Probably even better.
I’d be all for Somto starting here IF we had the right pieces around him.
Where did I mention stats? I just think he's a freak athlete at 7 feet tall and is interesting.Good lord man do some research on players not just overall stats he’s terrible in everything worse than Moreno
