Anyone watching just saw the home plate ump screw Adam Frazier. Henderson popped the bunt attempt up, Frazier was going on contact, the pitcher dove to catch the ball, and the home plate ump waited a good 2 or 3 seconds before he made the call, and that was after the pitcher had already gotten up and started histhrowing motion to1st base to double up Frazier. Terrible job by the ump to make the call that lateconsidering it was 30 feet in front of home plate.Just cost us a run.

I agree though the ump did have a delay in his call.

the 17ing bat everynow and then. I know that bunt is on Henderson, but after two straight singles and no outs, let him swing the bat. Hitting is contagious and Henderson has been on a hot streak ever since he came into the lineup. That double play was a fluke I suppose but it was an absolute rally killer.

I once heard Cohen chewing out a hitter for hitting a solo home run. His argument was they weren't productive at bats. If you discourage a kid from hitting a solo home run, don't be surprised when he can't drive the ball with runners on. Our system is to get on base by walks, errors, and hbp's. Cohen said those are three key ingredients to a big inning (scoring three runs or more).
