Positive Case Numbers

If the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 all go on with football games this season, their positive COVID tests are going to be plastered everywhere and over-scrutinized to death by the media.

IMO, the B1G and Pac 12 should be required to test their players regularly and report their positive case numbers in comparison. I guarantee you there will be zero substantive difference between the results in any of the conferences- thus blowing the whole player safety argument out of the water. If anything, I’d bet the conferences that are playing have better numbers because the players will be more careful.

If the Pac and B1G are so convinced that continuing workouts but not playing football games keeps their players safer from the virus, they should put it all out there. Keep testing and update everyone on the progress.

While I don’t agree with the B1G and PAC-12 approaches, I could see where they were coming from, until I learned that they’re still continuing with all other football activities. Just not the games. That’s like going to the doctor and being surprised that you contracted an STD because all you do is engage in foreplay with lots of people on a daily basis.
