Positive posters

I get the negativity but less than 2 years ago I’m sure some **** on posters that believed in baseball at a dark time. Most time you negative posters will be right but sometimes railing on an optimistic poster is sad! I don’t get the hate of optimism. Again rethink your thoughts about positive posters the last couple years in baseball!
My point is I get the frustration in sports but remember some look for the positive. Ain’t **** wrong with that.

And why Men’s basketball gets singled out. Their success has been better than football this year, and as good as baseball in the young baseball season, but all we hear is “it’s so frustrating to watch.”

Yeah all our sports are.

It’ll be interesting to hear whether these same fans say the same thing when we finish .500 on second ply in baseball.

You obviously missed the part where we fired our football coach and everyone wasn't disappointed in the football season.
You've also missed that baseball is sucking and several have already jumped ship.
Hasn't been a great sports year.

The negative slant that this board takes from time to time is due to its very creation stemming from a group of posters who were frustrated at NOT being able to make any type of negative post concerning our athletics back on Gene's Page. I think that there are some folks who WAY over compensate negativity on here and as a result lash out at positive (sunshine pumpers) posters on here. Lord knows we heard enough of that crap (sunshine pumpers) back in the Croom era over on Swan lake.

Having said that I realistically don't think our MBB makes the NCAA tourney OR will win the SEC tourney. Other teams are just much better than us.

Given our recent problems will Baseball I'm starting to have doubts about their ability to make the CWS but there's still a LOT of baseball season left so I'll just let that one play itself out.

Baseball gets a little bit of pass this time of year though. Yes, we have injuries, some underwhelming wins, and a couple of bad losses, but there's always this underlying shred of optimism that by the end of the year, they'll figure it out or get on a hot streak and sweep a team they're not supposed to.

If Men's Basketball had turned a disappointing season into an improbable post-season run since Clinton was President, I think we'd all be a lot more optimistic during the more cringe-worthy moments.
