The absolute trash from “fans” after this loss is so despicable. Be mad at the loss, but the trashing of players and insistence on microwaved takes is so gross.
Anyone who has seen this team at all this season knows that one thing they are is resilient. Baseball is dumb sometimes. USC is on a heater.
I’d bet on this crew tomorrow, and if they get to Monday, I’d do it again then. If they get beat, it won’t be because they weren’t a really solid club, top-to-bottom.

It sucks to lose and I think everyone has beaten dog syndrome around here from basketball/football. I don’t remember it being anywhere close to this bad 5-10 years ago.
I would gladly have a conversation about how great it is that we keep hosting super regionals. Year after year the vast majority of college baseball teams are watching from the sofa by that point, and I’m sitting in Boshamer Stadium. You want to have a different conversation, knock yourself out but deal me out.

I think they can take this Sunday…Bathave to come alive. The first inning with bases loaded and no outs was an absolute killer. You score there a couple of runs and the complexion of the entire game changes. Like I stated in the post game thread you can’t win a game in the first few innings but you can lose one.

Well said. How those who said what they said today will end up in here celebrating a win is difficult for me to understand. I guess my mind just doesn’t work that way.
Facts are facts. Forbes coaching record in Super Regionals is currently 3-5 (including current 3 game losing streak).

We easily controlled that game, up until the grand slam. Decaro & Glauber on the mount tomorrow, and I’m pretty sure the team got embarrassed. Get to game three. This was never going to be easy, and it shouldn’t be
Heels were dominating the game until the grand slam and then the wheels came off. Missed a few opportunities along the way. Get back to it tomorrow and Sunday. Season ain’t over yet!
Love our chances. Need to jump on them early tomorrow. DeCaro to Glauber sounds like a combo tomorrow. Fans need to come out loud. Thought today after we got up 5 to 1 that we could have buried them and not sure the fans did their part either.
Had a few brews and ready to say this: I don’t know if we’ll win tomorrow and/or Sunday, but this team seems to do well when backed into a corner and poorly when things are going well. So I’m going to be optimistic about tomorrow, and I know Forbes has the program in a position where they’ll break through eventually.
I think we’re in good shape - Decaro and Galuber tomorrow, and even if you burn them both you take your chances with a combo of Boaz, Rose and McD on Sunday against whatever USC has left.
We need more from Coop and Macon at the plate but I think we can keep scoring (need the same patience we showed against the ace).
Granted, I’d rather be in the catbird seat with Decaro and Globe primed to close it out tomorrow, but we’re good enough to fight through this.

Righties do need to do better, but with a RHP tomrrrow I’m optimistic.
I’m with you. We chased one of best pitchers in college baseball off the mound in three innings. I think the grand slam took all of the momentum away and was it deflating. This team can absolutely come back and win the series. I mean, Arizona came back and beat us to win the series last year. This team has been so good all year, we just can’t give up on them. Auburn just got beat by a much weaker Ole Miss team, and their fans aren’t giving up.

I think had we got beat 2-1 by the best strikeout pitcher in the country we’d feel differently. We feel like we gave a game away. That one swing, from a guy hitting .250 with 3 HRs, just changed the series from a 2 game sweep to us winning 2-1.

It’s ok to be pissed and even question whether or not Lynch should’ve finished that inning but yeah, some of the stuff I’ve seen on here is a little crazy.

I hope people understand unseeded sometimes means nothing in college baseball. If it’s some midmajor sure, but USC is ranked top 10 in the RPI. This isn’t some random team. They’ve been good all year and are hot right now.
