Possibility that current OM commit Clarence Jackson could visit this weekend.

Seriously, I have no clue, just had to post that.

Diamond seems to think that Jackson visiting MSU means we may have cooled on him to make room for Ralph Williams, UT commit that's considering us heavily. It's plausible, but then again I know how much weight Diamond's speculation carries around here.

If he goes to MSU, it means we didn't want him anymore. If he goes to Ole Miss, he's future All-SEC. Just making sure I get that out of the way.

You wait until AFTER he decommits to say you didn't want him anyway and he only decommitted because his scholarship offer either got pulled or he never had an offer to begin with.

they changed the 'O' to an 'I' so he wouldn't have to live up to his uncle's name.

if anyone says we didn't "want" Bumphis, they are lying. However, late in the game if he had decided he wanted to come to Ole Miss(and he didn't, Im just saying), there wouldn't have been enough room. We filled that position, and probably took a lesser player at a position of need.

Just as there isn't enough room for Williams and Jackson, and there isn't enough room for Thompson and Jones. Certainly doesn't mean they aren't good players, but when you have major holes at one position, you have to address them. You can't do the Orgeron, and sign 12 DL. You leave holes all over the field.

Similar to your signing of Favre....do you think he gets and MSU offer is Newton commits? Of course not. Feeling needs is important at this point, but you can't turn down a SURE thing, either. Another example would be let's assume it's the day before signing day, and your class is full. Set, ready to sign. And Da'Rick calls and says, "hey coach, i want to play for you". Even though your class is full, do you not make room for him? Now, what if that call was for a mid-level 3* guy that your staff didn't evaluate as high? Do they still make the same adjustments to the class?
