It is completely possible that the administration knows exactly how all of the issues that joe rehashed last night REALLY DO impact the program and never lost confidence in him because you know they have done nothing but coach or run athletic programs their entire life as compared to all the rumor mongers who don’t do anything of the sort but just didn’t like the way this year played out.

I know this is a shocking message board admission but I absolutely have no knowledge about this, short of being a fan. Also, I have no idea what I would do in this situation if I were the AD and the reason is that the ONLY person with the actual visibility into everything that matters is the AD.

If the leadership truly has a coach lined up that is currently leading a program, they need to let that coach finish the season with his current team and announce the firing/hiring on Monday.

It tells me that our AD is comfortable with being a bottom third SEC West team from now until "his Yankee *** is drug out." To quote our illustrious outright attacking leader.

it will not break my heart if the irascible irritable bastard is the one that is finally “drug out”!

Based on what I heard from my sister's friend, an uncle, two distant cousins and a Lady in my mom's bridge group over Thanksgiving lunch, JoMo gone is a done deal and Jason Garrett to MSU is a done deal.

Book it.

Remember I was the one in the know.

Then stop spreading rumors that coast him a recruit. People have been saying the actual facts and you guys chose to ignore it because of emotions.

Our roster is not good.

So, you think that our "...AD is comfortable with being a bottom third SEC West team..."? This is the kind of commentary that I'm speaking of. That is a dumb statement. It is possible that Moorhead shouldn't coach another down. It is possible that he should get 2020. It is fact that Cohen is in a much better position than you or any other person who posts here to know which one it is.

And there is absolutely no way that the statement you made is true. Cohen may be a lot of things, but content with losing isn't one of them.

Haven't spread any rumors thank you very much. But I am a booster in the top 500 of the bulldog club who is embarrassed by the offensive product on the field from a offensive savant! We scored 7 at home against a Alabama team allowing 24.6 points a game in SEC play, with his hand picked qb and the best rb in the SEC? Tell me there isn't something lost in translation? You can toot your horn because you think you know everything, but if he stays for 2020, he has no excuses with 3 years of implementation of his offense for the kind of overall poor offensive output we have had against even mediocre opponents. I will give my opinion because it's as valuable as your childish banter and I told you so attitude. We just beat a 4-8 sec team who gave us the game based on a bad decision, we lead the turnover battle battle by a significant margin and we're unable to close the door on a poor SEC team. So yeah he won! Good day sir keep dancin'!

I agree with this post. Well thought out and worded.

Agree. IF he is here in 2020, improvement must be clearly visible, because this was hard to watch. No appreciable offensive improvement/adjustments all year. And by appreciable, I mean something that non-football coaches like me can see and recognize as good. I'm not sure that I've ever seen a team literally come out less ready to play after off weekends. I know they were practicing more, but you sure couldn't tell it.

I just hope whatever it is that it turns out right! I don't like the idea of returning to average and not fun to watch, nor do I like the idea of being on the coaching carousel like Arkansas and Tennessee have been for years. Tough job to be the AD, not sure I'd take it. I absolutely would be the coach for 1-2 years, let you fire me and walk out with a smile on my face and some extra 0's in my bank account!

I hope you’re happy with that too because we will never be allowed to be more than that. The minute we display the slightest chance of improving we will be gutted by the big boys with their big paychecks. So you can just pine away for the new EA Sports game if you ever want to see State be more than a doormat.

We were bottom half/third in the West most years under Mullen.

Mullen was 5th in the West 5 of 9 years, 4th 3 of 9 years and 2nd once. Moorhead has a 4th and 5th. I'm not a Moorhead supporter but lets not act like Mullen kicked *** in the West. He had a losing record vs the West.

Get outta here! Mullen had us ready to take the crown from Bama and now Moorhead has squandered all of that talent that Dan left (because remember how many threads we had pumping up Dan's recruiting prowess?) and let Coach O take our spot! Unforgivable!

I was happy to see him take ownership and show some balls. I'm not sure he is gonna be able to take us to 10 win seasons but I'm sure he wants it as bad as we all do. If you are actually a fan of this team get on board. If not kick rocks and nobody gives a 17 how much money you give the booster club. Your opinion doesnt mean anymore than anyone else's.

Agreed no more than yours and I bleed maroon just as many here claim to. Doesn't change the consistent lackluster product offensively put on the field by the offensive genius we hired.

All I know is that, regardless of what I thought about his coaching, I really liked Joe Moorhead personally until that post-game press conference last night but not any more. He basically told the fanbase that we are stupid for the expectations we had this year and last year (apparently we thought we had the 85 Bears last year), and that's its his program (not ours) and that we could go **** ourselves. That was not only unprofessional but it was destructive for the program given he apparently is staying. He burned a lot of bridges last night with a lot of the bigger boosters and fans and he lost me on a personal level but apparently he doesn't care. I still hope he will make some changes to improve the program going forward.
