Mich St. wins out and gets into the playoffs. We beat Iowa and then win the bowl. Mich St. wins the Natty and their only loss is to us in November.

How about that momentum going into 2016? Probably be ranked 15th in pre season.

Nothing wrong with wanting this scenario. I agree this would give our team a lot of confidence and momentum into next season.

If Nebraska can knock off Iowa we'd be the team to hand both B1G champ teams their only loss. No small feat.

We win out, there's no doubt the national media will take notice. I think we'd be ranked preseason 20-25. I really do feel we'll be one of the most improved teams next year! Really good chance we take the West division anyway.

If I recall, many people were stating the same thing this year.

LOL, Really, I agree you should ban yourself. Nobody in Lincoln or Iowa City is so desperate that they think a pre-season ranking makes them a better team. Now beating Iowa is definetly a plus going into the off season but I know for a fact that Iowa or Nebraska was not in the top 25 to start the season, so I am pretty sure that has no credence in how these teams will end up at the end of the season.

Go ahead and live in that false credence if that makes you feel like Nebraska will be rated in the pre-season polls in 2016.

Good grief!

Preseason rankings are based on the previous year's momentum, players returning, etc. Defeating 2 top 10 teams at the end of the year and taking into account how we lost games, yes I think we could be in preseason top 25. I said top 25, not top 15. We obviously haven't earned that yet.
