i know its a stretch given our recent lack of coaching success, but does anyone believe we can/will actually change?
yes, there's no doubt we have an issue with talent; especially on defense. but its also obvious that anyone who watched last nights game
can see our defensive schemes simply suck! i watch a lot of football. and after our game i paid close attention to how well good qbs handled pressure and how well
bad ones looked decent to good when there was no pressure. u cant blitz all the time. but if u never do it, the other team has an easy o-gameplan; get what u can
and then dont worry about it on third down. we didnt make auburn's OC work last night. if had mixed some things up, he would have at least had to consider we might blitz on third downs
and done something different that might not have worked. ....i truly believe we could have been in this game late!
but, i guess the real question is, will torbush see what is so obvious and change? i thought he would at the half last night. i hope he feels the pressure this week!

We will see some change simply because Mullen is not croom. How much so and against other spread teams I don't know how much change will help the outcomes of the games. Our defense to me seemed slower than JSU's offense and last night it was very apparent AU's offense was extremely faster than our D.

With all the talk of croom actually recruiting for speed relative to the lack of recruitment of qb's and lineman I thought we would have a little more. 3-3-5 will not work all year against the spread for us. I hope last night is the last time we see it.
