CLEVELAND - Bob Huggins' teams traditionally have been frontcourt heavy. He prefers to play big and physical on defense, and on offense he prefers to play from the inside out.
But he did not want to have three poor seasons in a row, and after sizing up his personnel before the start of this season, he realized there wasn't much size. What he had, however, was a group of 13 players who could run.
That's why this year's Mountaineers are a fast-paced bunch of fullcourt-pressing players who thrive on trapping the life out of other teams, wearing opponents out with their depth and creating turnovers that turn into easy baskets.
