I just heard on New WXII that Galax, Va, is cancelling the rest of their season because of too many injuries with already too few players out for football this year.

On behalf of the Galax Maroon Tide football program, I am writing to share an important and difficult decision. Due to unfortunately low participation numbers and a growing list of injuries that have compromised our ability to safely compete, we have been forced to cancel the remaining football games for the 2025 season. While this season is ending sooner than any of us wished, our entire focus has already shifted to the future. Our intent is to work diligently on increasing participation, building strength, and laying a rock-solid foundation as we look forward with great excitement to the 2026 football season.

See this is why I hate bye weeks. Seems like you always come out sluggish after. Plus we're down our starting RB and backup RB just went out too
20-14 Brevard had another drive stall at west 19 should have kicked field goal
Brevard up 28-14 at half. Ben Kessinger one of Brevard’s QB’s and safeties likely suffered a season ending injury. Heart breaks for him and the team as he’s a big time player and leader.
Hard to get ready to play after the big win last week. You can tell the kids a million times to put the last win behind them but after all that are still just teenagers.
