FR - Nick Ray

Outfield:
SR - Luke Adkins
JR - Ryan Collins
JR - Runey Davis (may go pro instead of MSU)
JR - Cody Freeman (not catching anymore...could be DH or 1B also)
JR - Jaron Shephard (may go pro instead of MSU)
SO - Brent Brownlee
FR - Luke Maddox (may also play infield)

RHP:
SR - Justin Bussey (may also play infield)
SR - Ricky Bowen
SR - Greg Houston
JR - Corey Collins

Since he hasn't been pitching in the Cape Cod League as far as I can tell, he may be leaning towards that.

Also, I believe Jaron Shepherd has pretty much said he is coming to MSU.

I also think that Caleb Reed may get a look in the OF as well as pitcher.

Statz is going to be on the disabled list next year. We're just waiting on the NCAA ruling as far as the roster to see what we are going to do with him.

Miller, Bole, and Watson are also guys that are probably going to get looks as hitters as well.

Dallas Hannah can also be used in the OF, and I saw someone mention him as a possibility at catcher as well, which while it makes sense since we have three on the roster excluding Freeman, I question the validity of that.

Nick Ray could also get a look in the OF, however, he has a reputation as being an excellent defensive first baseman.

I think I've nitpicked your post to death now. Carry on.

From everything I have heard and read, the freshmen with the biggest impact will be Luke Bole. I see him in our lineup fo next year.

I've known and watched Dallas play baseball, football and soccer since he was a young boy. He is a very gifted athlete. To me, his best position on the baseball field is catcher. But he chose to play infield and pitch and did not catch as much during high school. He has the quickest snap throw at catcher that I've seen in young players. I have no idea what his plans and desires are about position or what Cohen may see as his best position. But, I will be surprised if he does not make the roster and contribute at some point.

very intrested to see next year is how the walk-ons are going to be used, because I think several of them are going to contribute in the future.

A guy like Hannah, who can play just about everywhere, has a lot of value.

I really think Cohen is going to maximize the abilities of everyone that he has on the roster, even the walk-ons. I think Cohen realizes that there are a lot of guys that want to play baseball at MSU, and he's going to try to find them, and at least give them a chance to make the team. I think Polk was really bad about being too exclusive, and we missed out on a ton of guys that could have really helped us out a lot. And this may sound cheesy, but I think the guys that really want to be at MSU and have been MSU fans their whole life tend to play harder and a lot of times better than say, some guy from Florida. It's basically the Rudy effect- guys that play hard and it trickles down to the rest of the team. I think that's very important to have on a baseball team. You need a good blend of talent and hustle players.

Some of the walk-ons we are bringing in are pretty good and could turn into solid players. I think Luke Maddox will be a guy who has a shot at playing fairly early in his career. His hitting statistics at Prep are ridiculous.

I also expect at least one out of Miller, Watson, and Bole to be an everyday player. They are arguably the three best hitters we signed, especially from a power standpoint.
