should be a 3. You only have Shaka and Brad Stevens as 4's. Groce shouldn't be amongst those two names.

I agree that Smart should be a 1 on the availability, and I would also put Drew and Mack there. I would raise Joe Dooley to a 3 on the good hire scale and drop Wojo, Chris Collins, and Danny Manning to 2.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div>

Some of those "would he come" 3's need to be 2's. There might also need to be more 1's (like some of the big time assistants), but I really don't know.<div>
</div><div>I think I'd rather have Marshall over Groce, so I'd switch their "how good of a hire" ratings, or make both 3's (or both 4's).</div><div>

a longtime assistant for Thad Matta and an 85-55 overall record and 34-30 record in the MAC. He has two NCAA appaerances because he won the conference tournament both of those years. Ohio plays UNC on Friday. Groce would be a good hire but I'm not calling him a homerun. He's 34-30 in the MAC.

with his 7-9 MAC team beating Georgetown in the first round two years ago, then losing to Tennessee and this years 11-5 MAC team beating Michigan, last 4 in South Florida and losing to UNC. He's a GOOD hire not a HOMERUN hire.

someone argued with me the other day about how dumb it was for State to "run off" the a coach with that many wins......my arguement was the same...winning when it matters is the most important....

Scott Drew not a home run hire? You kidding me? When Scott Drew took over he had 6 players and had to hold open try outs and hes taken a team to the sweet sixteen twice in 8 years since he took over at Baylor... Id say home run hire
