The Rebs are taking this personal. They can not seem to understand that the deal is about Masoli, and not OM.,

We had a similar situation with Sidney. The NCAA gave Sidney a penality of one year, and 9 games because of the situation.

I still think Masoli will get approved, about 3 games in. Time will tell.

The Rebs are angry, so ....like he said on Nafoom.

Actually the only similarity is that the NCAA would not let either transfer and play. Sidney was punished from something the adults around him did when he was a high school freshman. Masoli had two serious runs with the law as a grown man.

One broke NCAA rules and the other broke society rules.

But if I were an Ole Miss fan there is one thing I would find unforgivable about Nutt. Without a waiver from the NCAA he allowed Masoli to come in and take a ton of reps and coaching time that could have been spent on the (now) 1st and 2nd string QB. Say what you want about Stans but he did not spend a ton of time on Sidney knowing that it was questionable he would play. I don't blame Nutt for going after Masoli, but I think it's pretty stupid that he piled all his eggs in a basket that had a fair shot of not getting approved. And now whining over it IS making him look ridiculous.

Nutt, Boone and Masoli should have just stayed quiet about the whole issue. The NCAA answers to no one except maybe the Government who establish the organization to protect college athletes. You just say nothing and appeal. If there was any chance of a turn over it’s gone now. One other thing that’s not helping is the media. They are pointing out the different decisions the NCAA has made over the years. The NCAA answers to no one and you don’t call them out. You don’t piss them folks off.

I think the NCAA has the same viewed of Masoli as many of us have. He is a thug who was kicked off a football team for being a thug and is now using a rule that was put in place for football players who graduated and wants to keep on playing football because they have eligibility but his college does not have his major so they allow them to transfer. The only reason Masoli was transferring was because he could not play next year. Not for academics in which the rule was put into place. Yes you can argue it has been done before but hell Masoli made it too obvious andOle Miss and those threeare continuing to hurt their cause by crying like little bitches.
