From reading through the various practice reports it sounds like the freshmen corners are impressing coaches, players, and media. Apparently Jiles is a little better than expected. It is sounding like our recruiting class as a whole from last year may be better on the field than it was on paper, with some of the lower rated players standing out. For those that are familiar with the numbers, is it possible that if xavier grindle looks good at corner to go along with Jiles and the kid from memphis, that we don't take a corner in this years recruiting class?

We've already got a CB commit from Starkville native Gabe Myles. Besides them we're trying to get CB Justin Cox from EMCC and we're also looking at a kid from Dillon Day's high school.

Otherwise you wind up in a cycle of good years and bad years at that position.</p>

were breaking up several passes yesterday? Makes me worry that we are in for another year of our WRs being unable to get any separation. Seems we have all of the pieces in place for a solid year, but our WRs are going to have to get their asses open so Russell has someone to throw to. I can understand Banks breaking up passes, but Bumphis and Co shouldn't be struggling to catch balls against a 3 star Freshman CB like Jiles...but maybe I'm reading too much into it.
