He is one of the team's greatest assets. His presence calms my nerves in close games. It is awesome having a kicker in whom you have 100% confidence. We could face a 60 yd attempt, and I'd be looking on thinking he would probably deliver.

At the college level, a really good, consistent placekicker with range will typically win 1-2 games a year for his team. Kentucky has had a few of them. Joe Worley was that kind of kicker. Joe won the 1984 Hall of Fame Bowl. MacGinnis is our best placekicker yet, and Austin must be replaced after 2017. That little piece of coming drama will have an effect on Stoops' 2018 record.

He is definitely a bright spot. It is too bad that he had to waste last year due to injury and a strength coach that put him there, but it is a valuable asset to have. I wish he could punt.

Glad he is on our team. However, he is not "unsung." He won SEC player of the week. The long snapper is "unsung." The holder is "unsung."
